DON FABRITZIE:
The events of last evening were, I am pleased to announce, fruitful.
(1) I was happy to discover my faith in the Collins fellow was aptly placed. His reputation, it seems, was not exaggerated. With the alarms and locks taken care of, the rest of the crew moved in. Kiki, showed her foresight and connections, ready with the combination to the main safe (That's my girl). There was a convenient degree of luck in my hiring Lacey, as well. The young lady provided advantageous distraction to Hawthorne's dog.
(2) With the job nearly concluded, Eddy made his appearance. A few... injudicious decisions momentarily encumbered the mission, but dispite what a few of my informants have told me, I have faith that the gentleman is perfectly stable.
(3) It was, perhaps, beneficial to the unity of my little group that the police chose this moment to appear. Unfortunate though it may have proven to the gentlemen of the city's police department (I am currently having flowers sent to the widows). Tom displayed characteristic haste in separating the targets, although he eventually required assistance himself. Fortunately both young miss Mary and the Kid were quick on his heels. A bit overenthusiastic, perhaps, but kids will be kids. I don't believe there was any major structural damage to the surrounding buildings.
(4) To say the situation escalated would be an understatement. I generally prefer my jobs remain low-profile, but I am a gracious and understanding Don, and I know a small degree of force is occasionally necessary for an expedient victory. Mickey, as I understand, performed the duties for which he is most known, at one point actually throwing an officer onto Eddy's eager bullets. That's the kind of teamwork which warms my old, Sicilian heart. Lola's knives made a dramatic appearance, as I understand it, as did Anthony's infamous piano-wire.
I may not be particularly fond of the methods employed for this caper, but all told I must admit I am most pleased with the results.
Result: SUCCESS.
Tally: $4,000 & Several rare gems.
Headcount: Cops - 6 Dead, 12 injured.
Family Members - No deaths or notable injuries.
