Name this Cat
ok, about a week ago we found a very sick kitten laying in our parking lot. He was on death's door and almost did not survive the trip to the emergency vet in the next town over. But he did and is doing much better now and it looks like we are going to keep him. Now he just needs a name. Because calling him Kitten all the time is getting old.
so, good people of the forum, what should we name this cat?

Hard to choose a name for a pet until you know its personality, but his face makes me think of "Richard" from "Looking for Group."

Re: Name this Cat
he looks like a "scrappy" to me.
Re: Name this Cat
I like "Richard", both because the character is made of win and because, regardless of that character, it's just a good name.Chthulhu wrote:Hard to choose a name for a pet until you know its personality, but his face makes me think of "Richard" from "Looking for Group."
My suggestion of "Lazarus" still stands as well, though.
Why are you staring at my bottom?
Re: Name this Cat
yeah, we really haven't seen a lot of his personality yet because for the first few days all he did was lay around and try not to die. and after he recovered he is really not interested in much besides trying to play with our other cats (who are easily 5 times his size).
Oh, the cast is off his leg too, so if it weren't for all the shaved spots on him where the vet had to shave him he would look normal.

Re: Name this Cat
Something about his face in the 3rd pic makes me think of Akiro from Conan the Barbarian...
So either Akiro or Mako would work for me, but that's based solely on the face.

Schrödinger (though his survival no longer seems to be in question)
Life is what you make of it. You only get one shot, do with it what you can to make it the best.

Re: Name this Cat
I generally dislike naming pets "Lucky", but it seems to apply in this case. Felix and Faustus are both names that essentially mean luck or good fortune, if you think that would be appropriate.
... and exactly how important is "the ability to scream in three languages" for this job?
Re: Name this Cat
I heartily endorse the suggestion of Lulu.
I shall keep myself in oysters for the rest of the week, thank you very much.

I wanted to name our cat Lucifer, but my little brother objected.
My friend wanted to name his cat Cthulhu, but his wife objected.
Either one works for me.
