To each his own....but wow, that's pretty dedicated, you have my respect. Yea, you're right about finding time though. My time is usually about 12 at night before I go to bed. Its a labor of love.Dutch! wrote:
This always makes me laugh. I'm a busy and struggling primary school teacher with 26 kids to worry about and Reading, Writing, Spelling, Maths, PE, Science, Social Studies, Art, Technology and Personal Development classes to plan for each day. You can find time if you really want to.![]()

Ditto, only in school instead of work, and usually everyone watches because the lecture is boring, instead of making sure no one sees. I think once even the professor just stopped mid-sentence and left, because I stayed in the room (doing my strips) and everyone else had left, so he must have figured it was a lost cause.
I draw mine about four days in advance so that I have a backlog to fall on in case anything unfortunate should befall me. Since it's a daily strip and all, I can't afford to randomly take days off if there won't be an update without me.
Sometimes I do draw them out of the order that they're going to appear in, but that's usually only if I think that one is going to take some sort of super huge effort that I can't do on, say, a weekday.

Where's the option for " I drew my comic a while ago but lost it and so am forced to redraw it but by this time I've forgotten where I was going with the last one so it comes out radically different so I decide to go on hiatus for several months"?
'cause that would be my choice.

I remember caring... It was nice.
Probably "something different".

I'm usually four weeks in advance for my updates... except lately I've been only three weeks because of all the school/work/homeworks.

I *penciled* Monday's comic today, does that count?
I generally split up comic-making over two or three days, depending on how late I am, because getting a whole page from sketch to fully colored in one day is virtually impossible. Technically, my schedule goes like this: Friday is sketching, Saturday is clean-up and inking and Sunday is computerwork. In practise however, it goes more like this: Friday is slacking, Saturday morning is more slacking, Saturday night is panic and quick sketching, Sunday is intensive clean-up of Saturday's pathetic excuse for a comic, followed by inking and more panic, and finally the coloring, which is sometimes pushed to Monday. And that is when I have time to update.
Lately, I've had to skip nearly every other update because school has been determined to kill me with stupid homework which of course all has to be handed in on Mondays. Not good for the schedule at all, I tell you.
Oh, and that's the reason I've been away from the forums for so long as well. Hi everybody, how are you?
