Actually, that'd be more than half the population.. I'd draw the Venn diagram proving this assertion, but I'm too tired right now.

::edit::
Oops, forgot about the lesbians. Ok, maybe it is half the population.

*grins*

...was gonna say (until I saw the edit) that it should about even out... I won't import graphics or anything, but since I'm not that tired, and I have homework to avoid...

Shall we assume that males and females are within trifling distance of %50 each?

So... Popular (but, I think, wrong) stats place homosexuals at about %10 of population. I actually feel quite sure that the male number is a little lower and the female a little higher. When Bisexuals are included, the female number should jump through the roof... Which isn't specifically important for this equation, since it's on the wrong side of the dividing line. If we were calculating how many liked girls, it's be a big factor, of course.

Anyway. On to the easy math. 90% of the first 50% plus 10% of the second 50% should equal 50% of the full sample group, hey?

If we go with more correct initial assumptions that there are slightly more females than males, we should get to the idea that about 50.5 to 51 percent of human beings are still attracted to males. So y'all should still be able to get laid. ;-)

I still think it's just more socially acceptable for females to admit to being bi. Bisexual men seem to get hated on pretty equally by straight and gay men for unfathomable reasons.

Great, NOW somebody tells me.

Though, I'd kinda figured it along the way. Hell, I had a gay online friend that said he'd never date a bisexual guy. It is kinda weird...

I think its a hell of a lot more popular for girls to be bi, or at least claim they are.

I agree with it being easier for girly to say they are Bi ... but actually BEING Bi it can be pretty hard. Around here most of the lesbians don't want anything to do with bi girls. They figure its just a girl saying it to be "cool", or to get guys. Then take someone like me who is bi and poly.... well it spells a recipie for regection on all sorts of fronts. -_-"

Well somehow it seems that being bi for a girl is cool and will get you a hell of alot more attention from guys. This being the idea that the guys (apperently) think that if the chick if bi then she is up for having a threesome with her hot best friend and said male in question. Especially if the girl has been seen kissing their hot best friend. These are all my observations from living in a college town and watching dramas about this play out over and over and over. Unfortunatly these people just dont learn the first time when a girl says "Ya I'm bi" then the guy says " cool that means we can have a threesome with your cute best friend right?" and then she says " hell no why would I want to do that" means that she is either bi and exclusive or shes straight and just using the word to lure suckers in. Then along comes someone like me. Bi proud of it but not looking for male compaionship, I got one dont need anymore male thanks. Oh do people dislike me and people like me. Admittedly I sound like someone with a persicution complex but really its just straight frustration about the whole thing.

I know how you feel. If we're really bi, that apparently means we're too slutty to be satisfied with a person of one sex or the other. And if we're poly, apparently that means we'll screw the whole neighborhood without a second thought.

But, if we're just bi enough to kiss our fellow barsluts in bars, well, that's okay.

I'm straight, a bit peculiar, but straight. I used to be Asexual and I somewhat still am, but I do have a slight taste for men now sooo.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell I am

Yeah... It's not all for the bi-guys... bi women really get hated on plenty by lesbians, too.

I've dated way more than my share of bisexuals, so I think I'm at least somewhat enlightened... But there is a niggling fear in there... You just "worry" about a bi GF on a level you never would w/ a dyke.

I doubt it's rational or sane, but there's just something about knowing she could happily leave you for anyone on the planet that makes your asshole clench up.

They also get credited with being a major player in the spread of sexual diseases... Silly, as long as thy're careful, of course.

As a result, I know a -lot- of dykes who'll vehemently tell you up, down, and sideways, that they'd just -never- date a bisexual.

And I can't count the bi-hating girls who've had a boy or two on the side. I've never been able to finesse the "I'm straight but I've done it with another dude once in a while" or "I'm a capital "D" lesbian, but I'll sleep with men."

The man who bows in that final direction is either a saint or a fool. I have no use for either."

Trendy bisexuals give real bisexuals a bad rep. Bah. The tenth grade girls would always come in on Monday talking about how they hooked up with their best friend, and this would be done to get guys' attention. of course

The whole trend of doing it for atttention has actually made me always say I am not bi.

I have dated a couple of women, and slept with one, and yes I enjoyed it, and would do it again. However, because I do like men so much better and I honestly would be surprised if in the long of things I didn't end up with a man. infact I'm planning on kidnapping and mating with squiddy...

But I would be comfortable dating a bi man, if nothing else I could count on my best friends obsession with gay sex not creeping him out!
