Heh, yup, we were there...in-laws were helping out with one of the food booths.
For anyone who doesn't know, Appleton's Oktoberfest is a pretty big thing - they close down about a half-mile of one of the busiest streets in the city (the bar street, of course), and line it with food and craft booths, live music, and such.
It's fun...but it makes for a hellish drive if you need to get from one half of the city to the next and aren't near the bypass.
We ended up parking about 12 blocks away...plenty of fun with a 38-week pregnant wife. But it was a pretty good time, anyway.

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. When I was six, I moved to the coast of British Columbia (also in Canada.) Nine months later, I moved to Sherwood Park, a city-sized place dubbed "hamlet" for political reasons, twenty minutes away from Edmonton. On my tenth birthday--exactly on the day, dammit--I moved to McBride, British Columbia, Canada. I lived in that postage stamp sized town until university started. Now I'm living in residence at UNBC in Prince George, BC, Canada.
Except during the summer.
Lates,

Hi,
I'm new to KeenSpace--an artist currently awaiting an account, I'll be drawing and co-writing a fantasy- and RPG-themed humour comic called Dan & Ed. Since this thread is all about where folks are from and whatnot, it seemed like as good a place as any for me to introduce myself.
My name's Ben. Though my family now lives in California, I was raised Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I've recently come back to Kingston to study at Queen's. There's no place like your hometown, that's for sure.
Regards,
Doc
[This message has been edited by Doc MacDougal (edited 10-29-2000).]

Austin, Texas.
Halloween is always cool on Sixth Street here. There were supposedly 80000 people downtown this year... if only I could find some way to get them all to read my comic...
