Recap:
This jam has broken many jam rules so I won't try to count bodies anymore.
Godmoding is in short, making your character invunerable. Charles just did it here - in his defense, it was an attempt to stop the fight and get the jam on the track he intended, and not the usual godmoding - he thought, if he can't be killed, noone won't be trying to kill him anymore. I don't think it will work, jam got sidetracked in the first place because noone seems to care about Charles vision of the jam. (I mean, on one hand we've seen people repeatedly killing Charles or sinking the ship, on the other hand we've seen pirates attacking the ship - but did we see any passengers?
Short jam rulebook as I see it, is: everything's allowed as long as it's funny. That's why, among other reasons, godmoding is not allowed: saying "I am invunerable" is funny to noone but the one who did it; To others, it leads to a very boring jam.
If you're looking for a reason why War gets away with killing people so often, is he does it in a funny way - helped by his "reputation", which makes "killing" a running gag. Simple as that. Doesn't work always, but works more often than it would in someone else's hands.
There were things in this jam that I'd be unhappy to see in other jams, for instance, destroying a ship here is equal to destroying an universe - which is a regular no-no. But in this case we can make an exception. Why - see at the end of first paragraph.

Wow.
I feel bad now.
McDuffies, You can always put things into perspective!
*Gives him a really large bag of catnip.*
Sorry For picking on you Charles.
*Give him a large bag of catnip too.*
War, you are still the best killer out there! You last comic made me laugh alot!
*Gives him a large special browny.*
Whoever started the "Yaay" thing is awsome too. I broke a rib when War used it in his last one!
*Gives a large special browny to that person too.*
P.S. Charles now has 13 lives left.
I feel bad now.

I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

a) You're Mercury Hat. b) Those were a battle jam and a revolution jam, respectively, not a cruise. c) Oh very well, carry on.Mercury Hat wrote:That's what War always does. Nobody had a problem with it back during Battle Royale or even the Revolution jams.
BTW, chuck, last I checked, ripping a cartoon in half is pretty damaging. Look... *draws a cartoon then rips it in half*.

No, that's exactly my point. Vast majority found this idea uninteresting or perhaps everyone who was up for jamming was already involved in some of existing jams, so everyone (admittedly, including me - I actually started it) was more keen on destroying the cruise than on continuing it.[AlmightyPyro] wrote:Wow.

When there's one incidental person destroying everything others make, that's a situation that's easy to overcome, but when almost everybody is destroying, that's different.
(For the record, I thought your comic was very funny, Pyro)

Just so you know, it's fine if you guys didn't know but as Mcduffies said and everyone else is saying the only person pretty much invunerable to everything is War. Why you ask? Mostly because of Battle Royale; he already proved himself as an entertaining killer who actually puts thought and effort into every kill he does.

As far as your A point goes, so what? The biggest point of War's forum character is to go on as many killing sprees as possible. The fact that I just happened to be the first person to say it doesn't negate that.Risky wrote:a) You're Mercury Hat. b) Those were a battle jam and a revolution jam, respectively, not a cruise. c) Oh very well, carry on.Mercury Hat wrote:That's what War always does. Jams are supposed to be unstructured, they go way off on tangents. That's what makes them fun. They're a test to see if you can roll with the story and pick up where the next person left off. Make them too structured and it's too much like a collaboration and collabs only work if you really know the other person/people you're involved with.

Naw. Somebody just end it, destroy the whole cruise ship, and kill everyone in it (except War, since that was a big mistake). I don't care anymore. and I'm never starting a Jam again (like anyone caresmcDuffies wrote:No, why lock. I don't see any flamewar around here.
Bottom line, if Charles wants to rule out all destructive comics and keep on as he intended, I'll split the thread.
How sad... I heard his biggest point was further south. As far as your A point goes, so what? The biggest point of War's forum character is to go on as many killing sprees as possible.
You said it? Where? The fact that I just happened to be the first person to say it doesn't negate that.
This thread is going really fast, I can barely keep up, let alone submit. But I shall continue to try. Why so glum, Chuck, people seem to be having a blast.
