I've been looking at hosts and the one I've liked the best (price and rating wise) is Dream Host. I've looked up what other people have said about it and I'd say over 95% of it has been good. They have a special going on now where I could have the cheapest plan and have 2400 MB of storage (2.4 GB) and 120 GB of Bandwith. That's pretty good for 10 bucks a month. and if I prepay for 2 years it's even cheaper.

It's a pretty hard deal to pass up. And I can send people who are interested in seeing my work locally there instead of giving them the keenspace account, DA account and an old site I've not updated in 3 years.

Other than that, I've been trying to figure out how to layout the site if I do it. I want it to look professional. I also want to give credit where credit is do, so I need to talk to someone who has been coming up with ideas lately and ask her if she wants to be mentioned on the site as a writter. and I need to look at my online bank statment, see if I'm able to pay for 2 years of web hosting first.

But opinions on this?

honestly I'd stick with your keenspace name, just cause it's free. but if you think the name change will bring more readers and really want it, spring for the cost, sounds like a good deal to me (certianly the best one I've heard of).

BCI will always be on Keenspace, until Keenspace is no more. I wouldn't dream of moving it. This website would be for the actual studio. I do really own a studio up here, and I do other things besides BCI. It would be nice to have a place to send people when they want to see other portraits I've done or samples of logos I've done for kennels up here. right now I'm having to e-mail people the files and samples of stuff I do.
