ok, so I looked through the "Award Categories"-section on the CCA site, and noticed there is no award for the improvement of ones comic.
Well, what do you think about the idea of an award, to the comic which art has improved the most in the last year?
Award for Outstanding Improvement?

Not a bad suggestion. Of course there's no reason that it has to only be art; writing can improve as well.
The one thing that makes me hesitant is that we've been struggling to find a way to make all of the categories reflect this idea. In theory you should be voting only on a comic's performance during the previous year. Unfortunately we've yet to find any way to accurately enforce or interpret the objectivity of the voters. We just have to trust that they're doing what's right.
But I will bring this up to the committee; it's certainly worth discussing.

Absolutely! But bear in mind that we're all a bit frantic right now getting this year's awards wrapped up. But in a couple more months, we'll be eager to start looking for improvements to the 2006 awards.William G wrote:Um... Would be alright to use this thread to suggest that maybe there should be some trimming instead?
And we're going to be looking to recruit active volunteers to help with these suggestions on the commitee.
Thanks!
