When Rkolter started doing a statistical analysis of comics in the Guide, it caught my interest -- maybe because I'm a physicist and math-minded. So I started looking closer at the Guide. And, well, some things just do not look right.
Take one egregious example -- kaffimotta.keenspace.com. It has no updates, yet is ranked #57. If you go to the site and choose the 'P0rn' link, it apparently has folders devoted to anal and child porn. I didn't delve further than that, as I'm on my PC at work. (And frankly, I don't want to download them at home.)
This, uh, isn't a comic. There are other strange things in the guide, although I haven't found any as blatant as that.
Should I be bringing this to someone's attention? Is pointing out things like this helpful or unwanted? Would a detailed statistical analysis of the Guide, pointing out some of the anomalies, be welcomed or would it just piss people off?
I feel like I just joined a gated community, and there's a gang rape on the street corner, and I don't know if I should call the guards or shrug and figure that they'll handle it.
