Official Info: The Second Annual St. Louis Comic Cookout!

Post by Rkolter »

Here it is:

http://www.reasonedcognition.com/cookout.html

It's set for the first weekend in June - June 4th, 2005 (Saturday). I've added a statement for nervous parents, better directions for the internet illiterate on how to get a nearby hotel and driving directions, etcetera.

If you can attend, please post! If you're attending (and it isn't costing you huge bucks to attend), you have to bring something to eat. Let me know what you'll be brining.

If you need a ride or help paying your way, please post. We dealt with that last year.

Ideas? Post 'em. I will regularly update the main cookout page.

We also need someone to agree to do the pictures page after the cookout - I did a half-assed job of it last year and admit it fully. :-?

C'mon! This is plenty of notice! Let's see if we can fill the townhouse this year!

Well I fully intend to go.

I have no car of my own, I may be able to get my own ride from a friend but if someone else is passing by I wouldn't mind grabbing a ride from them .

I'd actually like to try to go to this. I mean I'll need to plan for airfare and accomodations. (I might steal some floor space the day you'd let us if you would let me =] ) Not too costly for me to go. It'd be wierd... not only going to a wierd and strange city, but seeing people I've never really met before...

Ahh the age of the internet.

I won't be having a car in the area. I'm hoping taxi rides aren't too bad unless someone could somehow include an airport trip in the carpooling.

Wow, right after my birthday. *goes to travelocity to look up flights*

What part of the country are you coming from, Spriteville?

well if anyone who doesn't mind picking up a passenger is driving by Memphis I certainly wouldn't mind hitching a ride, its how I got there last time.

otherwise I'll probably be bringing a friend.

Brockway - I had a thread asking if anyone had any conflicts in June! Why didn't you respond? :( I'd have picked a different weekend.

Spriteville - I can arrange to pick you up at the airport and drop you off, or you can hail a cab - your call. If you want me to pick you up, you need to get me your relevant flight info via pm. Alternatively, cabs are only a few bucks to my home. As for sleeping, it's your call - hotel, or I have crash space (pack a pillow and blanket just in case).

Orion, Vorticus - I'll set up a "We need rides!" part of the webpage. PM me your city/state info.

I'll see what I can do.

I'm fairly sure I will make it, though...I have a guilt-ridden parent in Dallas who would probably be delighted to help with the logistics.

I'll see if I can make it. I defenately want to. It was SUCH a blast going there last year, I'd hate to miss it this year for any reason at all.

CW

PS: Making no gaurentees, but my route would probably be Dallas-OK-Missouri. There would be limited car space (and again, NO GAURENTEES) but if one or two Texas-situatuated people need rides, I MIGHT be able to talk chaperone/parent into taking on passengers.

Maybe, I'll be 18 by then and on my free will, however Jax won't, so I might just wait until 2006 like Merc.

The only reason Kat and I wouldn't be able to make it is if it's true that the universe at large really hates us and does everything in its power to make sure that we're not happy.

Which it'd better not, dammit.

So we're a most 100% absolute complete and utter booyah YES until further notice.

I talked it over with the hubby tonight, and we've figured that if we can get the airline tickets for roughly 150 a piece, we will be able to attend. Mom's already agreed to watch the rugrat. :D
