so do i....!

oh, crap, that's right - i gotta go look!

* looks at stats.... *

:o

6 nov 125,662 pages 9,974 visits
7 nov 25,530 pages 2,220 visits

hooooooooly crap!!!!!!!!!!!

and you want to know what the greatest injustice of all is??? the goddamned page load guide hasn't been updating properly all month... so i'm still stuck at #15 on page 2 when i reckon i'd be kickin' down the door to the top 10 with those kind of figures.

damn, just shy of 10,000 visits - thanks, mr. something awful.

and thanks, you guys! your support is fantastic :D

i got some feedback - mostly positive, the only negative email i got said (in part):

[quote="Texino"]I guess most people who view your drawing are too distracted by the nudity to notice the the characters heads keep changing size.
Magellan ... super hero cadets - their worst enemy is themselves!
Loxie and Zoot ... cos nudists have adventures too y'know!

According to http://members.keenspace.com/ you're #39 in page views as of last month. You're right. No stats have been added for this month yet.

I'm aware that a number of you dislike webcomics in general,
This hurts, man.

I'm more annoyed than amused. Such a shallow view, why does he do reviews if he's not able go beyond the surface? What about Xmung's realistic anatomy combined with cartoony style? Isn't such rarely seen combination enough to make up for some other shortcommings? I understood the comment about "awkward nudity" as if he would appreciate comic with explicit sex more; as if nudity => explicit sex, everything else is just a teasing. Damn hypoctire.
You know me, if we're about criticism, I'm the first one to endorse it, but I hate people who never have a nice word for anybody. By the pure logic some things you like, some things you dislike, but if you're only throwing negative criticism, then you either don't like anything (not highly objective, huh? more like serious psychological problems), or avoid to say a good word about anything because you're a) jerk b) wannabee cool.
In other words, I hate extremists.

got 6000 visits yesterday... now the link's dropped off the front page the spike in the stats is reverting to normal. still, it was wild while it lasted. so far this month there has been almost 250,000 pages served up... more than i've ever had in any monthly total! interesting to see if i get any new readers out of it - had a few people email to say they were new fans. heheh. no publicity is bad publicity.

and i know what yer saying mcDuffies. that's why it didn't bother me - i figure some people just love picking on things they don't like... helps them to feel better about themselves...

Meh, you know me, I'm not biased toward L&Z. If you ever asked me, I'd have a few things to say as critique (while on the other hand, I like Magellan a lot more). But the fact is that this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. He's tagging you for totally shallow reasons and he's wording it in such way that only those who religiously check his site (I know there are such people) and think he's always right, would believe him.

Congrats, xmung! (And here I was hoping my second wild ride on Ghastly's ad box would send you some extra hits, and I get flooded out! D'oh!)

I always admire your cheery attitude to stupid criticism. For a naked guy, you're remarkably bullet-proof. ;)

I heard rumours to the effect that this attitude comes from a run-in the site owner had with "Acts Of Gord" and later on "Penny Arcade". But I don't know the truth of this since I'm only an infrequent reader of Something Awful, haven't had a conversiton with Gord since last winter (He works here in Korea), and I'd have to have a gun pointed to my head before I'd read Garfield Arcade.

Really though, it's like getting jeered by the walking, talking versions of the cast of PVP. Just take the increased readership and keep laughing like you have been.

The downside of having a global 5% of intelligent people is that internet access and freedom of speech is also given to the other 95%.

Besides, something awful isn't even worth getting on, my life's goal is getting on maddox's site on day. One of the true online bastards whose opinion I'll most likely appreciate, even if it will be negative :grins:

heheh! woot! good on ya, war.

and i see zeera's sproinged into page 2 (go the ghastly wild ride)... you'll be happy to know noemz you are my second highest referer this month so i am getting a bit of ghastly... er i didn't mean it to sound like that!
and mcduffies... i'm all ears!
Magellan ... super hero cadets - their worst enemy is themselves!
Loxie and Zoot ... cos nudists have adventures too y'know!
