I've went through your site. I found that your strip image size falls on 100K to 200K Bytes! I have to wait extremely long time to download each and everyone of them.<P>Could you adjust your saved image *.jpg option to a compression level of 85% and below? Best to keep the strip size below 90K for easy viewing. I would come more often to view the strips if you would resaved the previous strips to be under 90K. That's all for my opinion.<P>^_^<P>
(Best viewed with Big5 simplified format)

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>The problem is I do it in rich colors. I tried saving it as a .gif file and a .jpg to compare the color loss etc. The colors got messed up in the gif and the gif was actually /bigger/ than the .jpg so I'm sticking with .jpgs. <P><P>------------------

All my files are *.jpg and they are any where from 67-150 K each.<P>------------------

Here's a tip, but it only applies to black & white/grayscale comics.<P>Tip - you can take a 256-greyshade comic, and reduce it to 16 colors with no visible loss in quality. Then, save it as a .GIF. That's how we do all the <A HREF="http://www.jobeth.net" TARGET=_blank>JoBeth.net!</A> strips - each <B>JoBeth!</B> comic is pretty darn big, (generally about 320x500), but if you check, almost all of them are less than 30k, because of this method.

True - like I said, the 16-color thing only works for greyscale or simple-color comics. For complex color stuff or photos, JPG is still the way to go.<P>I hear that JPEG is going to be releasing the JPEG2000 standard pretty soon - better quality than current JPG, and up to 20% smaller in size...
