For those who read my LJ, you might have seen me complain about my eye hurting and swelling. Well it turns out I have a staff infection in my left eye. Will this affect the comic? It might. At the moment I can not see a damn thing if my left eye is open. I mean, my vision was blurred a little bit from all the swelling, but now because of the cream I have to put in it, it's blurred all to hell. I also have no depth perception at the moment. So yes, there is a chance I may not draw the next page to shades, mainly because I need my eyesight to draw. If my eye sight isn't so blurry tomorrow I'll draw the next page, but no promises.

typing would be really hard if I didn't type with my fingers on the correct keys at all times. And the fact that the key board has a split in the middle.

That kinda puts a damper on what happened to me over thur/fri.

You see I have these antibacterial/moisterizing cream that Irub on me feet because in my climate anyone who doesn't where closed shoes 24/7 will suffer from dry/cracking heals. And having been rubbing the cream on my feet I didn't think to wash my hands before beaking up chicken for my curry aand ice for my drink. I consumed enough of the cream (antibacterial remember) to make me feel like someone was dragging a hot wire brush through my small intestine!! Kept me bedridden all friday

That at least was only short term. I a still ache but most of it's flushed through my system already. What CJ's going though sound more long-term and a lot more painfull. Hope you get better CJ..

And everyone else: Remember to wash your hands before handling food!

Actually...

Well, consider this: I don't know when the infection started, but what if it had started before the singing contest? If Jenni had won, and you had gone with her to SF, if you started having the pain in your eye then, would you have thought to see a doctor? Would you have waited until you got back, when it might have been too late?

Wait... Why am I pointing this out? I mean, I could understand it if I were proseletyzing, but I'm not. (Unless you want to be agnostic... Wanna be agnostic?

) I guess I'm just struck by the wow-its-probably-good-that-your-friend-lost- despite-the-fact-that-they-really-didn't- want-to-lose-and-was-probably-disappointed factor

If Jenni had won, I would have been home on Wednesday afternoon, so I would have ended up going to the doctor on Thursday, which is what I did. Jenni winning most likely would have not made a differance.

On a good note, I can almost completly open my left eye, but the stuff I have to put on it is still making it blurr.

As for teh typeing/drawing.... I've played Cranium with you, I've seen you draw with your eyes closed! You can TOO draw the comics without sight!

Update from me:

Aparently the antibacterial foot cream scrubbed away nearly half of my stomach lining. As a result I must avoid tea, curry or any other hard stuff in favour of 'gentle' foods and lots of milk. Also: My body processes alcohol so quickly with the damage done to it that I can be passed out drunk on only 3 or 4 standard drinks....

I CANT LIVE LIKE THIS
No tea, curry or alchohol for nearly three months is torture I tell you!

Anyhow. How's your staff infection coming along. Have they removed the staff yet, or are they still threatening legal action?

damn it, someone said it....

My eye is getting much better. The eyelid is still swollen, but it's only slight and I can open my eye enough to where it's hard to tell that not both eyes are opened at the same width. I still have to blind my left eye three times a day and take antibotics, but you can never be too careful. They told me if it's not taken care of it could spread across my face. I don't think that will happen though, It doesn't even hurt any more.

Sorry to hear about not being able to have tea or booze for three months. That would drive me insane, unless I had a woman in my room that would give me sex anytime I asked until those three months were up, then I might not notice the lack of Tea and vodka.

You mean... The whole thing with your stomach lining beaing eaten away would have been great fun, and a lively tale to tell here in the forums, if only CJ's eye hadn't been infected?
