Chris Reed and the Anime Raiders

Post by IanMatthewShot »

Ok, so I downloaded the free tracks from the Chris Reed website. I liked what I heard, so I sent him my $15 via PayPal, and in less than a week I had my CD.

I have to say, I agree with BJ. It is pretty good. I rather enjoyed it, I liked the first half of the CD better than the last half with the first CD (two CD set), and I liked the second CD. I loved the interior artwork on the cover.

Here in Indy we had a radio station change from all 80s format, to Contemporary Christian Rock. Several of my friends are disappointed in this, so I had an idea. What about starting a radio station that played Non-RIAA signed artists, like Chris Reed and the Anime Raiders, Chris O'Brien and Cohorts, and DogTalk. You know, things that you normally would't hear on the radio. Now, I will admin not every little band out there is really good enough to to be on the radio, but it seems like I keep finding bands that should are good enough to be on the radio.

But this is just my opinion.

Wow.

Thanks!

I've considered launching my own radio station for a very long time now called "Radio Free California" that would play great tunes by people you've never heard of, or people like me who want nothing to do with the "music industry". I know HUNDREDS of deserving bands and musicians. I've had this thought bouncing in my head for almost 15 years.

Alas, I haven't the knowhow (or money). I'm a workin' on it.
If I didn't try.... How would I know, how would I know?

Don't feel bad, I don't have the know how or money to do it either. Hell, I couldn't even spell admit correctly and put admin in instead. Whoops.

I think it would be a great idea. Something going back to the beginning of radio.

I just listed three bands that I know of that don't get played on the radio but are fantastic. Well, ok, I've only seen one of the three play live, the other two I have CDs of.
