Sorry, sorry.
How are you all, anyway? I get to write a 20 page term paper, myself. Wheee... After that, I'll hopefully have time to reread the Lord of the Rings (at least the first book) before the movie's out.

I'm not going to reread LOTR before seeing the movie, I'll probably enjoy the movie more that way. I want to have multiple orgasms while watching it.
[This message has been edited by Mark Gerrits (edited 10-28-2001).]

Hey Mark, you're a Tasmanian ninja. Got a photo I can use for reference?
------------------

You crazy Ozzy, I thought you'd forgotten about that already. Up until a few days ago I could say I lost the original picture that I used in an altered state for Ghostz. And that was a very good thing since it's a really bad picture of me. I mean, ugh. Unfortunately I found it again. It's a few years old and I do NOT have that haircut anymore but it's the best I can do. Actually I never had that haircut, I just hadn't gone to the barber for a while and it just kinda turned into that.

I dunno, I would like to get a chance to reread the books just so I have that background while watching the movie (and because I have delusions of being this insanely huge Tolkien fan, but when it comes right down to it I've never memorized any family trees from his books or learned Elvin -- yet). Since I probably wont have a chance to read the book though (or at least to finish it, I have reread a bit), it'll be a moot point and I'll get to keep going, "oh yeah, I remember that" all through the movie.
On only a vaugly related topic, anybody here a MST3k fan (MSTie)? Some of the MST guys are colaborating on a web-based series for Sci-fi that appears to be somewhat a parody of LOTR. I'm not sure how far the similarities go, because I need a comp. with a decent connection to watch the things on. For now, I can see pixeated images and hear garbled sound here: http://www.scifi.com/edwardtheless/
*Tips his hat*

I have read through the Silmarillion.
And I have not read the Lord of the Rings yet.
I am God.
I am actually the ultimate fan since I read the Silmarillion before the Lord of the Rings.
(The Silmarillion, which he actually wrote *before* the Lord of the Rings)
A-hah.
Once again, I am God.
No, wait, I'm not.
Let's just say that having read the Silmarillion and not the Lord of the Rings gives me a special status.
