I never have the slightest clue which ones will make people laugh -- I really didn't care for this comic at all, but I was tired and wanted to go to bed. So. Glad you liked it.
------------------

I neglected to mention: I went to bed last night at 1:00 am. That's A-freakin'-mazing for me, folks. And I had my first "night's" sleep in over a month -- I'm not exaggerating -- I spent a whole month without going to bed before 4 or 6 or 8 AM -- last week. And I have goals of getting to bed by 10:00 PM every night this week. We'll see if I can pull it off... right now I'm forcing myself to not nap so I'll have sleepy in me tonight.
------------------

I think it's just plain mean when people who have insomnia inflict it on unsuspecting readers of their comic, by drawing a comic that you instinctively KNOW is offbeat and funny, but you just can't quite get all the clues to jell together into a coherent joke. So you go to bed at 2 am--okay, 4 am--, thinking "Why is the wolf holding an inhaler? What does the little shack have to do with it?"
Randy had the whole joke concept in his head, so he was probably thinking, "Better not make it too obvious; no Little Pigs or Houses of Twigs or Bricks visible..." So it took me a while. Okay, maybe I'm just retarded. But when I got it, I laughed out loud.

I couldn't access this site from home (computer and internet connection problems)... so I had to try to describe this comic to my wife verbally.
I think I sounded like this:
Me: In the background is a little straw shack, and hee hee hee HEEEEEE a little straw shack, and HEEEEEE hee hee hee HEEEEEE, okay, okay. Okay. Okay. There's a little straw HEEEE hee hee hee shack, in the backhahahahaHAAAA hee hee background... and then in the front there's a wolf HAAAAAAAAAA ha ha ha ha ha HAAAAAAAAA hee hee heh okay. Okay. Sorry. Okay. Little shack and in the front you see a wolf with ha ha ha HAAAAAAAAA he's holding an inHEEEE hee hee (pant pant pant, puff puff puff)
My wife: Breathe.
Me: Breathe! HAAAAAAAAA hee hee HEEEEEEE hee hee breathe! Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. (pant pant puff puff) So he's got HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA sorry, I just hee hee hee he's got an inhee hee hee hee you have to see it, it's a great concept. Hee hee. Randy, the comic in reference here is great. And even if it wasn't a funny idea, the use of the word "shooka" is simply brilliant.
------------------
