"grown up" <strike>he</strike> she says...
*snicker*
The other two siblings "grew up." Randy and I merely survived to an age at which we can ironically refer to mature adults as peers.
[This message has been edited by Howard (edited 12-27-2000).]

Sorry for the gaffe, Amber. You'll see that my post above has been corrected in a way that allows your post to still make sense.
My mistake is an easy one to make. I only know of two women regularly posting on these boards (well, THREE, now), and I'm married to one of them. I just rolled the dice, played the odds, and lost rather spectacularly.
One little pronoun...

I knew Glych was a girl. I don't know how she got internet access, but I'm sure whichever guy gave it to her is in a LOT of trouble with Command Central.
------------------

I'm not sure at what point I decided that chauvinism was funny. I guess it's sorta like how talking about cannibalism is funny, when you're talking about it happening anywhere civilized. Tee hee! Eating other people! Tee hee! Girls being inferior! See? It's funny.

No doubt I'd be in BIIIIG trouble if my wife ever read this stuff. Or figured out how to get online.

Tee hee!
------------------

(snip)

As I understand it, they are like any other publishing company, in that they want a "guaranteed seller." A cool strip is not guarantee enough. I'd avoid approaching them until you have 1) enough material for a book, and 2) a decent fanbase (read that "2000 or more visits per day").
Even that's no guarantee. You've got to be willing to do appearances, signings, conventions, etc in order to plug the book. Remember, they'll be shelling out thousands of dollars to publish you... they need to get that money back, or your strip is effectively dead.
--Howard
