SpiritWolf> Oooh, the Kickstart things! Yeah, I do have those! *l* funny thing that, for my old Amiga 500 I never needed one of those. Talk about extra confusion. ;)<P>I'm going to look at this Amiga In a Box Thing. sooner or later. When I learn to do time management. *l* :)<P>Well, that explains it then. *l* I'm a tad new at emulation. I'm glad to hear I'm not entirely stupid. (and so will my employer, no doubt. ;) )

Hey now! We're behaving, aren't we? *L*<P>I made a trip through memory lane yesterday... I had forgotten how many games happened to be corrupted at the last game level. Ah, memories... ;)

Well, still ... that's probably not as bad as ZeroWing on the Genesis. I remember fighting hte last boss on that game (he was bloody hard too) and then expecting a rather spiffy ending but instead "Cripes!" a bunch of raisins danced onto my screen. "The hell ... ?!". I kid you not. ;> I think that had to be the cheapest ending ever ...

*posts his 42nd message with one of his most favorite quotes, just for the heck of it*<P>"Oh, I've heard of worse," said Ford,
"I read of one planet off in the seventh dimension that got used as a ball in a game of intergalactic bar billiards. Got potted straight into a black hole.
Killed ten billion people."

"That's mad," said Mella.

"Yes, only scored thirty points too."

Dancing raisins? At least you got to SEE an ending. AND play the final level. *L* You know, Alien Breed Special Edition 1992, another Amiga game that was great fun, had an ending consisting of scrolling text basically consisting of: congratulations, a message that they could have either had a flashy ending or more levels, and that they chose for levels, and finally that if you cheated to get there, well, congratulations for ruining all your own fun and enjoyment of the game. Was something to think about, really. ;)<P>That's all for now. So long, and thanks for all the fish. ;)

Ooh, Discworld! Always loved those books, Pratchett is an awesome author and he seems to view reality pretty much the same way I do and conveys some pretty interesting views via humour. Of course, HitchHiker's does that really well too. I've always prefered Discworld though, seems to have a certain ... charm that nothing else has and the characters are just completely unforgettable.<P>... and thinking of Discworld, I wonder if there's been any progress on the movie? It's been ages since I heard anything about that.<P>"Mwaaa."

Oh, books! That's a hgood subject for a random topic... If I were to suggest anything, I would suggest going after the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett, or The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy books, by Douglas Adams (though in Pratchett's case, the books progressively improve, while the opposite seems to be true for HHGTTG). they've been the only books I've been able to stomoch, intensely poor reader that I am.
Though I suppose One Flew Over the Cucckoo's Nest and Lord of the Flies aren't bad. But then you get in the field of Literature. ;)

Ah, yes, the Discworld movie... I can't help but wonder if these books can be properly translated to a movie. *L* Maybe with Terry Gilliam as a director, assuming I remembered the name correctly. :)
