Well of course this topic is going to reach 1.5MB (or 6,000 posts) but by the time it does we'll all be old and Gray, Dakota's Ridge will have metamorphosed into a holographic version of itself complete with voices, yet still produced by Angie but with the help of her computer AI - Bob, whom everyone will consistantly make fun of. "Do you remember the time when Bob asked Angie ... haha ... about ... hahahahahaha.".
Okay, I'll admit, I've had too much sugar, I'll shut up now. ;>
Anyways, the comics I read if you really want to know:
Academy Vale
Akela the Wanderer
Adventurers!
Bruno the Bandit
Dakota's Ridge (of course!)
Freefall
Fuzzy Things
GPF Comics
Japanese Beetle
Kevin and Kell
Nukees
Player vs Player
Real Life
RPG World
Sabrina Online
Sluggy Freelance
Suburban Jungle
Towne Pub
User Friendly
West Corner of the Park
<ducks> No throwing stuff at me for making this topic insanely long, you asked for it!

Here's a question regarding the christmas storyline, i'm wondering why Arno, who was in a crabby mood, didn't tattle on Rob. ;)

Am thinkink that Arno may have been "tied-up" at the time, either that or he's afraid of Rob. Admittedly Rob's mysterious abilities may involve catnip and thus can only be used on the Kitties but if they don't ... well, he was feeling crappy enough, why risk further harm and get embarassed to boot? ;>

You know, I think I recognise maybe 7 or 8 of those cartoons... I onlt follow a few... One which isn't in the list is Triangle and Robert, which can sometimes be a drag, and sometimes be hillarious, but in all cases is totally absurd. *L*
Why didn't Arno tattle on Rob? Well, it's a bit odd for me to answer, but I like to think it just wasn't the sort of thing he'd do... Besides, he IS a meal with feathers, isn't he? ;)

Ohhhhhh.. Cool! thingy remembered my password! which is good, cause I didn't.. Heh heh..
Oh, yes.. Ahem, ahem. . *clears throat* I just thought that I would beging the following posting frenzy in this particual, and appropriate folder. Yes, I AM still alive. And I'm bored and weided out enough to actually come here and read all the old posts! (well. . A bunch of them anyways!) *sobs* I've been missing so much!
And I'll continue to miss so much when I forget to check back her after a few days.. *l* But anyways...
Oh, yes! Refering to somehting that is actually related to this threat.. Spirit Wolf, I've read about about those strips. *l* and I'm the same way. Every morning I check all my comics.. HAve a special "Favorites" folder for them. I used to have more, but then I suddenly realized that, well. . Some of them SUCKED! *l*
Oh, BTW.. I've noticed that in several threads, you've commented on meeting me, and that I sound like a cool fellow. Well, as much as I appreciate the comments, I'm afraid there is one acid test you must pass to see if you are worthy of associating with me..
The Keebler Elves ate my GOLDFISH and stole my puple elephant Underwear!
Anyway, now that's what's done with (Thank GOODNESS this is a pointless thread) I am going to Sally Forth, and post in numerous other threads! And, sicne it's late at night, those posts will likely be just as weird, if shorter than this! So. . Um. . Hmmmm.. I could have sworn there was a point to this earlier.. Ah well...
*waves* BYE! *l* ;p

{sees Flint walking past and ambushes him, stealing his timeshifters and hopping forward to the Red Dwarf, where he ambushes Lister with a pile of his own socks and steals his Fish ... and returns} Here's a Fish! {realizing it's not working he starts beating it furiously against the walls} Sort of ... {he then informs Bun-Bun that the Keebler's stole his Baywatch tapes and sits back to watch the slaughter}. That's everything but one last thing, in place of your purple underwear, have these Ruby Slippers. ... and just in case you accidentally get transported to DisneyLand, here's a Glock.
I think that covers everything. No, wait ... take a few fragmentation grenades aswell, in that place you never know when you might need a good fragmentation grenade.
... and yes, I do this often. You should see the crossover I wrote last time I was high on sugar. {shudders} The travesty that is Lister Poppins ... or maybe the transve{snip}.
Normally I'd be more sane but I felt like doing a crappy crossover, so I did. There and now I'm happy and I too am very glad that this is a pointless thread and that again I barely clung to my self-set PG rating. ;>

Was that me or Robert? I need to know if I can check another name off the list. ;>
As for comics. Hm ... absolute recommendeds? Let me see. Freefall, Suburban Jungle and Akela. You should check out those too. ;> Of course, to me there are many more that I just can't do without but that's only because I absolutely must know what happens next.

Seeing as this is a random topic I thought I'd say this here. ;)
you KNOW you're getting behind when ARno and ROB start posting more than you. When did I get so slow hhhm?..... ;)
...Well prolly about the same time I got too sick and tired to remember all the things I meant to do. anyway. ;)
and the only comics I read are DR. (D'oh!) and Sluggy. And I'm attempting to catch up with the Wandering ones and User Friendly. If I do I want a medal because of all teh other stuff I read online which aren't comics ;)

Need any help with the webpage? I hate to be this immodest but I'm rather learned when it comes to web design, I can do insane things with tables and SHTML. You wouldn't believe how little of the site you have to update when you use such things.
Of course, you could be far better than I am but in case you find it a hassle, I thought I'd offer my services because I'm nice that way.

Dubble> Well, I'm still trying to catch up with Arno. I'll start being worried when Robert's posting more than I do.
I too only read two comics (DR and User Friendly), well actually three, but Sabrina Online is just a monthly cartoon.
My personal "ToDo"-List isn't getting any shorter lately either. I still have to finish my latest fanfic, I wanted to write my first "Danger Kitties" story, I plan to catch up with TGS some day (yeah, right! *sigh*), there's a big paper I have to write for college next month, my webpage needs a major re-do, I could use some fitness-training, my room could use tidying up again, I haven't done any AD&D roleplaying in months and on my bookshelf there are still some unread books.
Quote: "God gave me life to accomplish a certain amount of things. Spiritwolf> Huh? The list? You've managed to confuse me now... Not a great feat, but still... ;)
Hmmm... I'd advice to take a look at the sometimes hillarious, sometimes... Not-hillarious Triangle and Robert. See how far you can take silliness... ;)
Duncan> *L* Isn't online life fun? One day you suddenly find it has completely overwhelmed you... ;)
And cause this is the random topic, and I forgot where it was posted when I forgot to reply to it... Spiritwolf, you used a BBC Micro too? to play Elite? Oh, those WERE the days, weren't they? ;)

They were good games but I'm glad technology progressed, yesterday's Elite was today's um ... er ... Ecco: Defender of the Future (closest thing to it I could think of)?
I believe a lot of good ideas have been left in the past though and only Sega and related companies have been bothering to revive them. Just look at the difference between yet another generic Final Fantasy game (IX) and Skies of Arcadia / Grandia II.
My nostalgic days were a little later on than the BBC Micro (even though I owned one), my favourite time was that of the Sega Master System and the Genesis (yes, Nintendo fans may revile me all they want) mainly because when it comes to RPGs, the likes of LandStalker, the Phantasy Star series and the Shining Force series have gone greatly unchallenged.
'Cept by the new Dreamcast games that is, that's why I love the DC, it's like owning a piece of my favourite time of ages gone ... 'cept with brilliant graphics! It's been a long time too since I played a game where score actually meant something *cough*Crazy Taxi*cough*.
Mostly though, I want to see Wonderboy in Monsterland 3D! Monster Land was the best game the SMS had, it was just amazing. That would indeed be a good idea on Sega's part.
[This message has been edited by SpiritWolf (edited 01-14-2001).]
[This message has been edited by SpiritWolf (edited 01-14-2001).]

Arno/Duncan>*L* I wish it were just online life that overwhelms you. RL homework has suddenly got to be WAY more hard and time-consuming. Pressure form teachers about exams already. *L*
Plus I'd like to catch up with TGS someday and User-Friendly, and the Wandering ones AND the Triangle and Robert...among other things ;) *L* And I always have at least three books I want to read. Usually at the same time.....SO do I read too much? ;)
TGS being The Gargoyles Saga. *L* And confusing me is an even less great feat then confusing Arno ;)
Anyway I'll shut up now. I just felt like rambling sorta *L* And it IS a random topic. Anywhooo *L* *shuts up* ;)
[This message has been edited by Dubble (edited 01-18-2001).]

Before I start well and proper, I'd like to share wqith you my befuddlement over Keenspace, Keenspot, whatever, telling me I couldn't click through on one of the banners thy use to advertise other comics. I find this rather... Counterproductive. ;)
As for the posts... *l*
SpiritWolf> You know, I never really DID get to play an RPG. I always wanted to, it just never... Happened. From what I hear of them, I think I'd have found them a blast too! And now everyone and their uncle plays games and are talking about RPGs and I can't even join the conversation... Well, I could namedrop about someone animating for the FF movie, but that doesn't count. ;) *l*
I remember Wonderboy in Monsterland! I really wanted it after having played it in the Arcades! then I got it and finished it in two goes. Still fun though. ;)
3D should prove interesting, for a change. *L*
Dubble> You're reading TGS? hope you like it. I never really went for it, but you know how I am with reading... *l* And honestly, homework comes first, but all that other stuff... what's it good for, eh? ;)

Wonderboy in Monsterland was indeed a grand game, not a hard game just one of those games that's fun to play. There's been so few of those though recently I found that ... essence recaptured in Sonic Adventure, huge game and just simply fun to play. Groovy stuff.
You've never played an RPG, not PC or console? So I guess you've never heard of Minsc and his pet minature giant space Hamster (the only one in existance according to Minsc) then [Baldur's Gate]? ... or haven't seen that memorable scene from Might and Magic VI where you can get the Druid drunk and his magic points double and he goes uncontrollably pyrotechnic "Wheee {burp}"? ;>
Nor sampled the great stories that can often be found in Japanese RPGs? Well, I hope someday you get the chance ... there's a lot of fun to be had from all RPGs no matter what the format.
[This message has been edited by SpiritWolf (edited 01-23-2001).]

That does seem a bit surprising, doesn't it? Though I'd guess that Ang has an interesting story-twist or two up her sleeve. I can't wait to see what happens next. ;>
