Submit art for a Keenspace/Keenime Valentine's Event

Post by Bluebug »

Hi all,

I'm hosting an event for Keenspace's anime community, otherwise known as Keenime.

Not a member of Keenime? Not a problem. The event will feature art from artists of any anime/manga influenced comics on Keenspace.

Don't own a anime/manga influenced comic? Also not a problem. I'm encouraging all fans of such comics to also submit their art.

Click on the link for more details:

Neither can I. It's my first time hosting something like this. I hope people can find the time to submit some art ^^;

In case anyone in this board is still keeping an eye on this thread ...

Warg. There's good news! The Keenime Hearts site is up and running at:

http://km.keenspace.com/valentine/hearts.html

This may or may not be a temporary home, depending on whether RPin gets a chance to set up site exclusive to the Keenspace events.

In any case, submissions are still being accepted until February the 29th! So pick your favorite Keenspace manga-styled comic and do some mushy/anti-mush art.

You've got some weirdness with some of the title text. It shows as black on the black background.

Not quite sure what you mean by this. I did notice a floating "f" though. Got rid of that.

Foo. Indeed it could be. I feel sheepish. Curses on me for relying too much on WSYWIG. Everything looks fine on my computer ... because of cache?

no.

Because the file c:\something_smashing\a_file!.css on your HD is accessible for you. Unfortunately you're pretty much the only person that can say that.
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

That fact always kills me when I put up new webpages. Invariably there's a file name I've forgotten to correct. Thanks, faub, for heading over there and checking out the code. The page is fixed now, I hope.
