The CCA's are like the Oscars

Post by Toxic »

The CCA's have smear campaigns, all sorts of weird requirements, and favor large corporate comics over smaller independent ones.

If you're serious . . . then we should make an independent comics award show too, like that Sundance thing.

Maybe that was his insinuation. But, whatever. I don't know enough of the subject to figure an obscure sarcastic remark on said subject.

I signed up to vote and they accepted me and everything. Then out of nowhere, they were like "we have unaccepted you" without giving any reason at all. Really pissed me off, if they didnt want me there, shouldve not taken me in the first place.
Go on, check it out

Seriously, why not start some type of Keenspace Comics of the Year awards? Sounds like a good idea to me

Someone should start a Sundance like independent award thing. But then that would become overcommercialized, and then someone would start another independent award thing. And then we'd go into a whole ongoing cycle of that. But still... We should start a KS Comics of the Year Award.

And the Voting committee accepted me also, and then unaccepted me. Protest!!!!!!

As long as the tagline for said awards was "Cast your vote or we'll sacrifice your soul to the peanut god" then I'd be willing to participate.
My zany antics warrant no explanation

There should at least be a category in CCAs for comics that aren't already read by a million people. Something like "Best Comic You're Not Reading".

That'd be cool. Maybe even the most coveted award on the CCA.

But if no one reads the comic, how will anyone know it's the best comic??

We should have an alternative Awards show. And do it in flash! And the award should be a golden speech bubble.

That's why the award will be so coveted! Cause nobody reads the comic!

I'm sure every comic has at least one reader.

So 300 comics are going to tie with one vote each? Cool! I see a "Draw Off" coming on! Woooo!
