The CCA's are like the Oscars
The CCA's are like the Oscars
The CCA's have smear campaigns, all sorts of weird requirements, and favor large corporate comics over smaller independent ones.

If you're serious . . . then we should make an independent comics award show too, like that Sundance thing.

Re: The CCA's should be more like the Oscars
Of course there are a lot of people who claim that to be the case already.TOXIC AVENGER! wrote:The CCA's should have smear campaigns, all sorts of weird requirements, and favor large corporate comics over smaller independent ones.

You know . . .
Maybe that was his insinuation. But, whatever. I don't know enough of the subject to figure an obscure sarcastic remark on said subject.

I signed up to vote and they accepted me and everything. Then out of nowhere, they were like "we have unaccepted you" without giving any reason at all. Really pissed me off, if they didnt want me there, shouldve not taken me in the first place.

Someone should start a Sundance like independent award thing. But then that would become overcommercialized, and then someone would start another independent award thing. And then we'd go into a whole ongoing cycle of that. But still... We should start a KS Comics of the Year Award.
And the Voting committee accepted me also, and then unaccepted me. Protest!!!!!!

That'd be cool. Maybe even the most coveted award on the CCA.

That's why the award will be so coveted! Cause nobody reads the comic!Mr.Bob wrote:But if no one reads the comic, how will anyone know it's the best comic??

So 300 comics are going to tie with one vote each? Cool! I see a "Draw Off" coming on!
