I'm new here! nice to meet you all!

you know this is the first time reading this comic and to say the least...it's cool. ^_^;

I just found this place by Terra's sig in the Tsunami channel forum. (or rather her comic first and then clicked on the link to this forum) ^_^;

Well, since you're at Tsunami, which I believe is one of the reasons apart from pOnju that Terra isn't making any new comics, you can pester her to make some new comics! =D it's fun! Just keep going "Terra, when's the next SS comic going to be up?"

. . . but I must admit it's very good for my ego if that birthday comic stays up for as long as possible. ^_^;;

Admittedly, I was away all summer in Oz [not getting to do much apart from construction work, which is why I didn't contact ya, sadly] but that makes no difference!

She demanded I do a birthday comic for her in Walkabout... and I did...
so I thought fair was fair. ^_^

No worse than Saskatchewan in the fall [during your winter there, which can only *laughingly* be called a winter - REAL winters are -40 C with 40-70 km/h winds causing -20 degree windchill, with snow up to mid-shin and icicles forming on any available surface... as now, here]. I got a pretty good "farmer's tan", since the rules kept us from going bare-chested - not that anyone *wanted* to, really. It never got warm enough for that. But, yeah. Nothing too terribly special. Did some tourism, bought a didgeridoo from Adrian Ross [whom I heard perform twice, ha!] and... yeah. That's really about it.

[I can play the didge fairly well, actually. Just that the cold weather's been chapping my lips too much for me to play it much lately...]

It has never snowed where I live (on the west coast)...

But you should check out our summers! =P

...and my computer's just been fixed after 3 days of being down and I'm still not completely used to the keyboard yet and I can't think of anything else...

so there. *rolls eyes*

... now, this may just be my Australian naivite (sp?)... but why do so many North Americans seem to board at their university/college? Isn't it possible to go to one whilst staying at home? Or is it just that the one you want to go to is too far away? ...or am I obviously too used to living in a capital city?

heh...it's possible to do so at home...but that's when your parents might get tired of seeing you being at home already so they would kick you out possibly. ^_^;

Plus there's a sort of privacy if you leave your home and board in a collage -my mom and pops bug me alot when I have to get some things done....would you like to have your parents keep popping up and bug you nearly every 15-30 minutes to see what you are doing?

*shrugs* My room is right next to my parent's room, and my computer is on the wall outside of the two... I can see into either room.
They tend to leave me alone, really. Y'know, an average of 5 A's a year can do ~wonders~ for your privacy.

=/ I should be starting university next year... if my TEE's are up to scratch...

...aren't you at "college" (forgive me... but college is seen as a private high school here and not an institution of tertiary education) already, Terra?
