Hey all. For those of you that don't know, we at Snowflake Studios have a section called "Snowflake Interviews", where we interview the people who make our favorite webcomics, and we've chosen to interview BJ and Joey. (I'm also posting this on the JF forum.) Post your questions here.

Questions...
So are you adverse to some fan who might be in the area, taking you out for a drink?

I personally wish I could wear sandals all year long. But...sock sock, wander around the house in them till the bottoms are all dirty (mom HATED that), then shoe shoe.
And I have nothing at all against meeting people from Indiana. I just happened to be in a Bruce Springsteen haze both times (a murderous rage the first time), and didn't think of meeting up with people till we WERE in Indiana WITHOUT access to the 'net.
The only thing I hold against Indiana is the Colts. I mean, 41-0 ???! You'd think the Jets were playing the Packers or something. Indiana's nice. Kinda flat, but without as many SUV wielding cel phone packing tourists as here.

1. Who's better at Pictionary: Joey or BJ?Hbomb wrote:...more questions would be nice.

2. Does Cher have a restraining order against Joey?
3. Is "the pig" purely fictional, or is there something BJ's not telling us?
4. Have either of you been to a Dead Man's Party, and did you leave your body at the door while there?
5. Essay Question: "Rootbeer" is neither a root nor a beer. Explain.
6. Who was a Scamp, a Tramp, and a bit of a Vamp?
7. Has Tonja ever had the urge to tell people to "respect my authoritay!"
8. When the pig finally takes over the world, will we loyal readers be the first or last to have our souls eaten?
9. A bus leaves Stephens Point, WI at 8am heading for Oshkosh, WI at 50 mph. Another bus leaves Oshkosh at 8:30 bound for Stephens Point at 55mph. How long before Mindy gets in trouble for leaving a wetbag on Miss Master's chair?

BJ, Joey, please refrain from answering the questions until they've all been asked.
Oh, and for those who would like to see what a Snowflake Interview looks like, here's one I did on Josh Nickerson.

First off, I am not from Indiana, I am from Wisconsin. I just reside in Indiana, and have for the past, um, ah, 18 years. (Damn that long all ready...). And as such, I tend to get up to Central Wisconsin at least once a year, if not more. So I thought it might be nice when I happen to be up there to, stop by the Galaxy like I usually do, and pick up a copy of Tonja Steele and get it autographed, and take the two of you out for a drink at the same time.thefiretrap wrote: And I have nothing at all against meeting people from Indiana. I am actually planning on getting up there this summer, for a "vacation". Visit some relatives, maybe make a run over to Eau Claire, or Minneapolis to see Chris O'Brien & Cohorts http://www.chrisobrienmusic.com/, which is a band my friend (Who is a Steven's Point Native) is in.
Yes, the Colts performance was pretty bad. I was suprised by the Pack though. I thought they had a really good chance. At least it was closer than the Colts score.
As far as it being flat, well that is one of my compaints too. I miss the woods, and rolling hills of Wisconsin.

For both: Do you just draw the strips as they come to you, or do you actually plot out a storyline and even potential dialogue and then draw the strips off that template?

Almost forgot the Barbra Walters question:
[Babwa Wawa] (kwumming to wu wive from Wiskonsun)
"If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be and why?"
[/Babwa Wawa]
[Emily Litella]
"What's so important about conserving our national race horses?
Other horses are important too, you know."

When there are enough questions to ask, and when we can find a way to do the interview (the others have been through some sort of instant messaging software, whether AIM or MSN Messenger, except for the interview I did of myself
).
And I guess I should ressurect/repost this topic at the Snowflake forum on DMGice.com.

Galaxy Moved??
They moved since August? I was last up there in August. Dang. Where are they now?BJ wrote:Um, you do know the Galaxy moved recently, right? They do carry the TS Zema book, though. But yeah, let me know if you need details.IanShot wrote:So I thought it might be nice when I happen to be up there to, stop by the Galaxy like I usually do,
The first location I went to them at they were in the basement under the Radio Shack over by K-Mart. Then they were over off, um, what is that 66? over by the Custard place (or was it a blueberry muffin place...), Then close to downtown.
Hopefully they are in a place that is a bit easier to get to.

Yup, they moved again. They're in Plover now, across the street from M&I in the vicinity of St Vincent DePaul and the old IGA, which is now a dollar store. Same plaza as the dollar store and the Plover Game Exchange.
Take 51 to the Plover exit (the one with the two water towers and the water park) and turn west. Drive past the new Shopko and stuff until you reach the intersection with the Holiday station and McDonald's. Turn right onto Post road (or business 51 if you prefer that name). Follow Post for maybe half a mile or so, past the bank, the wood furniture place, and St Vinnie's. Galaxy will be in the plaza on the right, just before the traffic light. If you pass Scheirl Tyre & Service, you've gone too far.
I suck at directions, so maybe MapQuest is your best friend in this instance. Also, be warned that Galaxy has changed quite a bit since Tom died--it's more geared to HOBBIES: home brewing, gaming, models, gaming, paintball, gaming, miniatures, RC cars and gaming. Comics are shoved into the back, right hand corner of the store. Sigh.

I'm pretty sure I know where this is. Kind of sad, that I know the Wausau, Mosinee, Stevens Point, Plover area as well as I know Indianapolis, and I have lived here longer. It also helps that I drove through Plover again in August when I was up there.BJ wrote:Yup, they moved again. So are there any Comic Stores in that area anymore? I know Wausau hasn't been able to keep a comic store, they come up then they just die off.BJ wrote: Also, be warned that Galaxy has changed quite a bit since Tom died--it's more geared to HOBBIES: home brewing, gaming, models, gaming, paintball, gaming, miniatures, RC cars and gaming. I also was not aware of the home brewing. I knew they were doing more other stuff. Hell, when they were under the Rat Shack all they really had were comics. Not a lot of other stuff.
Funny, I remember when I could only afford to buy 1 - 2 comics a week. Prices have gotten to where I am back to only being able to afford buying 2 - 3 a week again.

Dude, I was just in Appleton a couple weeks ago. Man, I wish we had a Red Lobster in Wausau, because it'll probably be a long time before I make it back down to Appleton.
