Why I don't have clean comics.
Unlike the rest of you, my webcomic has what you call a tight budget. This is why I don't have PhotoShop, but the horrible mistake called PhotoImpression.
I don't want charity in the form of donations.
But then I realized I had some stores in cafepress.
PLEDGE DRIVE
Here are the good stores, NBCD, the world trade center special, and Neglected Express.
I get paid $2.50 per image. If I get enough to purchase PhotoShop, I will clean up all of my comics.

http://www.gimp.org is free and the controls resemble Photoshop enough to make using it a breeze.

Well, sorry, but I don't have a direct path to download. I use school equipment to deal with my comic. I suppose I could use the school's TAG resources, but it's a little risky.Melancholy Chinese wrote:www.gimp.org is free and the controls resemble Photoshop enough to make using it a breeze.
Okay, carry the five...McBean wrote:I'm no mathmagician, but it would take about 400 people buying your stuff to reach the amount to buy photoshop
What!!?? $1,000! What has happened to the price of software. It's getting to be that some programs are outpricing computers! This is ridiculous! I'm gonna try to see if I can get something cheaper that doesn't turn my lined pics into ghosts.
Whoever made this program will hear from me about this!!!???

I use ink, plus the bag of frustration known as iPhoto Plus 4, along with the Gimp when I can borrow my mom's Zip drive. Much usefulness all 'round!

Ahh, it's the attack of the ink nazis.Megidoth wrote:You don't need photoshop to look clean, here how i do it only using mspaint:
step one:sketche
step 2:ink
step 3:erase pencil line and you're done!
and after that you can edit it in mspaint
But photoshop DO make a difference for coloring:
Look, I just need an easy way to clean up my drawings, without ink. The good ol' Young curse states that anytime I make something permanent, it becomes horribly wrong. It actually happened. This pic is where I screwed up the mouth. I barely saved it by ripping the mouth open and scanning it. It also states the point I make about myself using ink.

Photoshop isn't the name of a fairy that will magicly remove all the part you consider not clean^^;
You should ink and even if you mess some lines, you can always erase them with mspaint.I know because i do and i MESS my strip at time but some click of mspaint and everything nifty clean
Beside,it's not like you have a lot of option...
