(Walt Flanagan's dog is the canonical "Kevin Smith reference people aren't going to get if they don't know Kevin Smith", as far as I'm concerned. On the other hand, he doesn't have a theme song, and this takes him down a notch. It's a difficult decision, but I think I'd have to agree with you on the not-being-the-embodiment-of-all-that-is-evil thing.)

Another toughie...whilst Fletch probably has the upper hand in true punk rawkery, Angry Punk has demonstrated an absence of original thought (see his band name ideas) making him possibly more in tune with the punk kids of today. Hmmm.
