There's an ad for "Verisign" at the top of the page that makes a dragster motor noise revving up and taking off.

And at first I had NO idea it was there!

Scared the (bleep) out of me!

Theirs, and all of the other animated-image adverts.

Back in the late 90's, I learned an amusing phrase for these animated .gif files: "Dancing Baloney".

What annoys me, at the risk of being seen as a whiner, is that the "Dancing Baloney" is always the first to load, and starts its "dance" before anything else is allowed to load. Which, of course, slows any subsequent downloads.

My nominee for the worst such: those eye-busting, headache-inducing, flashing "Winner" ads.

Any other nominees?

And even more annoyin are the casino on net adds where it talks and its in that annoying fake excitement monotone and it takes half an hour to find the banner thats talking to shut it up...

Well, as fr the dragster I happened th have my speakers on pretty loud (My sis was playin her stupid music on the computer

) and, well, lets just say I have an epic ditrust of loud noises.
