All righty everyone.. In an effort to get things going again here, I offer you this.

THIS, while it is next year and not fully anime and blahblah, is going to ETO'S FIRST CON. Any questions/comments/suggestions? :D

Renassaince Fairs

Post by Risawn »

hmm, must admit, I've never been to a renassaince fair. Sounds like fun though. Any coming to our corner of the Pacific Northwest in the near future? Or did I just miss one?

Nah, you didn't miss one, Ris... The one I'm referring to is Minnesota's Renaissance Festival. ^^;; I unfortunately didn't get to go this year, but I've been three years in the past... And I must say, it's a wonderful experience. The one I went to in Spokane once kinda sucked though. ;p So it all depends... The shows and people make it worth it.

I went to one of those once in Tennessee... that was years ago thought, but I do remember that it was fun.
MIRACLE MAX: Now, mostly dead is slightly alive. Now, all dead...well, with all dead, there's usually only one thing that you can do.
INIGO: What's that?
MIRACLE MAX: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

con goings are much funness, indeed. this one is a... dragon convention? fantasy writing convention? do you get to dress up as an elder wyrm when you go? is there a fire-breathing contest [or lessons for that matter ^_^]?

i am saddened that anime expo new york was on the other side of the country this past weekend, preventing me from peeking inside... :( ah, well. only 10 more months to ax 2003!

i don't know who's more intense: the anime fankids or the rennies. both freak me out equally.

which is curious, as my boyfriend's a fanboy and my best friend's a rennie (she was a washer wench for three years!)

*laughs!* Truth be told, it's a fantasy/sci-fi convention... Like the ones you see on TV with people dressed up as Klingons speaking said language. Though I do intend to see if I can get anyone else to dress up with me...

And fans aren't scary if you find the mellow ones.. ^^;;

Ah, all this talk of Cons is making me think of how much I want to go to an Otakon.

Of course after having gone to an Otakon, Next would have to be try to get to an AnthroCon.
