Yeah.... it's official... Microsoft has bought Rare. Nintendo sold it's share of the stock back to Rare, and ol' Billy bought them outright.
It's a shame. Donkey Kong Racing, a game I was really looking forward to, will never come out. Kameo, another game I liked, will be X-Box only. Plus Nintendo will have to come up with a new Donkey Kong model to use in its games....
Oh well, I guess Nintendo really couldn't afford to support Rare any more, since the last few games they made didn't sell all that well.
Well, Rare's not worth getting an Xbox over... even though I will probably love Star Fox Adventures...

Well, considering that Star Fox Adventures is done, and there are demos in Toys 'R' Us, I doubt Rare is going to pull the plug on the game.

Although my favorite Rare games were the SNES Donkey Kong games...

What I mean was that even though I'm gonna enjoy Star Fox Adventures, I'm not going to be buying any more Rare games after that.
And from what I've heard, Nintendo still owns the right to the Kongs, Banjo and Kazooie, and Perfect Dark, while Rare still holds onto their original properties such as Kameo and Conker, though Rare is still trying to buy the rights back for Perfect Dark... which gets me to think that Nintendo might keep the rights and pass Perfect Dark onto someone else... perhaps Retro, the studio behind Metroid Prime?

I doubt Nintendo will give up Perfect Dark easily. Last I heard they were trying to work with 4Kids into making a PD series for FoxBox.

Even got a couple of animated ones (that may be a touch too big. If you want one of them, PM me, I've reduced them down but don't know how to replace the current pictures yet). I don't recommend you take The Many Faces Of Kirby, because that's my very first one, and I have a soft-spot for it...

I apologize for the soapbox advertising. It's just that I'm never going to get through these avatars at the rate I'm making them (and yes, every Avatar was made by yours truly.)

I am also willing to do requests, as long as it's only Game Art Avatars (and it may take some time for me to get them done. Emulators are great things for this, but I need to actually find a ROM to do it). Nintendo 64 Images are an iffy proposition, due to the fact that I'm only on Dial-up. I'll do it for some games, but others are clear out. Game Cube images, obviously are undoable (No Emulator out for it yet!)
