i always kinda wondered what kind of music everyone around here listens to. well, more specifically kittyhawk and tom_swan. i figured it'd be in the jar rant archives, but i never really got around to reading them, and blarg, gone, etc. so the question still stands. and well, while i'm on the topic of music, i wouldn't mind finding out what everybody like to listen to.

i'm partial to matthew good band, cake, anything by john williams, less than jake, reel big fish, and... well just about everything.

Mm...I can listen to almost everything, from video game remixes to techno-classical to cheesy, ancient sci-fi movie themes (Hooray for Killer Klowns! Whoo!). I also like a lot of music in foreign languages....hmm, what don't I listen to? Just about the only music I can't stand is extreme death metal with nothing but screaming, rap, and R&B.

...I still don't know what R&B even stands for.

The Rise, Refused, Snot, Dry Kill Logic, The Shizit, Glassjaw, Mad Capsule Markets, Poison the Well, Helmet, Nothingface, Chimaira, Primer 55, Prong, and Snapcase. that's a good enough starter list, though technically i like all kinds of music. i generally just like this kind.

Personally I like any music I can tap my foot to or bang my head to. Or of course any music I can 'set a scene to' in my head. There might be an actual verb describing it, but who knows.

The only music I can't stand is pop (DAMN YOU BRITNEY) and R&B.

oh yeah, the radio has powers. powers to annoy you and make your ears bleed out the brain which melted during the course of the dj's dribble.

"hey welcome to 99.4 DUMB, i'm your DJ Craig Stupid and here's some inane dribble that'll go on for atleast 15 minutes so that we may play A song or perhaps two then some commercials. but don't worry folks, the commercials will be very brief because we know to you they're they only soothing moments you get between the songs and we want you to SUFFER by making you listen to these morons behind a mic blather constantly til your EARS BLEED MELTED BRAIN JUICES AND CAUSE YOU TO DIE!"

i lothe the radio and flip out when people try to play it cause it causes me GREAT PAIN!

well that and they play the same songs over and over again and never anything new.

Well Bare Naked Ladies is up there (I think its in the catagory of folk/pop according to amazon.com). Then like O.A.R., Dispatch, Eels, and all that jazz. And live jazz is cool too, but thats entirely unrelated.
