I've just watched Serial Experiments Lain for the first time and is it me, or is there some kind of connection between Lain and Kitty's hat?

Lain has a bear hat, bear slippers, and a full bear suit-type-thing... and kitty's hat... hmmm, makes ya think...

If Kittyhawk has a bair hat, its most likely because Lain is a popular commercialised anime... So they usually have merchandise for that type of thing. *grin*

yes, she even stated in one of her old rants that she made it cause she wanted to go as Lain for halloween, and the hat just kinda stayed in her normal attire.

i had assumed that the whole "animals pajamas thing" was just big in japan. thank goodness lain didn't wear duck pajamas!!

*sigh* if you've seen lain you know there is a part where she's talkin to her dad and it's late at night and she has a bear suit on, i assume it's pajamas. and she has the same suit on early in the morning sometimes. i may be mistaken, it's been a while since i've seen it.

no no, now i just want some response as to the status of the bear hat. am i right or wrong? or it's the fact that i may have to buy the series and watch it again to prove and/or disprove my theory for myself.

ok, well, so far in what I've seen, Lain doesn't have duck PJs... she does have the bear ones. she has lots of "bear" themed stuff, no ducks...
