I'll say, the yankees have nothin' on her  though on a different note i like how Magus is drawn with an upturned nose, most elves have that long narrow kinda nose :D it makes him look puckish.... guess time well tell about that

Well, if you look through the archives you will see that I draw Hazel with an upturned nose too. Although it's not often you get a full frontal view of her face, so here's a handy link for you. http://wingsofchange.keenspace.com/d/20020122.html

Yeah, I noticed that a while ago. :-? I'm still trying to get it right in the fan art I've been working on since I did Mitch. :D

Huh? Relation? Well, they're kinda the same species. Elvians are mainly different from Elves in the fact they have wings. I'll let you know right away that there are ways I draw charactors that determine what species they are. Human faces look a lot like what you would expect them too, So I won't explain...

Elves have...how can I say this... more of a snout. Humans have a fairly flat facial structure. Meanwhile in the comic Elves and related species will have a...bit more of a...muzzle! That's it! That's the word I'm looking for! Um. *cough* So uh...where was I? Oh yes... The lower part of the face and chin juts out a bit, causing the placement of the nose on their face to be up higher while the nose itself is shorter with a greater angle on profile. Oh and the Elves have pointed ears too...

Sure it looks a bit like anime or manga, but that's often how that style is drawn. This sort of facial structur often results in a very young, or childlike appearance. Go ahead and compare the faces of a tiny child and an adult sometime... You'll see a bit more of a upturned, shorter nose in the child.

Another race I might as well point out is the Pixies, since you see a lot of them. They actually have no nose, but a variety of facial shapes. Some pixies might have more of a muzzle while others are much more flat faced. But pixies as a general rule don't have a nose. They also tend to have pointed ears...and wings...and generally don't grow much taller than head height. Well, some types of pixies grow to maybe twice or three times that height...but that's a special case. They don't reflect the main group of pixies.

So I think I've prattled on long enough now. I hope someone found this mildly interesting... :-?
