Shoggoth's Old Peculiar

I could be wrong, but...

Is there any truth to the rumor that one of your storylines was loosely based on Neil Gaiman's short story "Shoggoth's Old Peculiar?"

There are rumours about us!?

And no, none of TCoW is (consciously) based on Neil Gaiman . The only Neil Gaiman that I've read is Good Omens and Stardust. "Shoggoth's Old Peculiar" sounds interesting though...
Cthlulhu fhtagn that people would quit trying to wake him.

The story was originally printed in The Mammoth Book of Comic Fantasy, then reprinted in Gaiman's Smoke and Mirrors collection.

The story involves a rather annoyed traveller, two decidedly squamous gentlemen in grey raincoats, and large quantities of alcohol...

I swear Elizabeth and Mark are unconsciously clairvoyant. See the "Francis Black" thread for more proof.
