POLL Just out of curiosity
This is just out of curiosity... and to see how mine stacks up...
I had 707 visits throughout July

Trevor Is Small- Like sex... only better. And... um... bigger! And with a llama! Wait... no, forget the llama.
Well, my count is not fair since I started on 7th day of July, so I don't have full number...
But I'm still pretty satisfied with the 359.
"The juxtaposition of form and function wherewithin the corpereal embodiment of this one true, sacred, and pure form is simply an antediluvian spectre harking back to the very epitomy of architecture. I find your work striking...it has panged my heart to the basest metals of my soul.
Remember, simplicity, form, and soul are the keys to success in this field."

If you look really quickly at the results, you can probably figure out which of those is mine.
And I think I'm under-estimating as I haven't checked recently.

Wow! My webcomic must really such gigantic balls. So far this month I have as many visits as I did throughout all of June. About 220 or so I think. I need to get more people to look at my webcomic... Maybe offerings of free porn will help...

Trevor, since you didn't ask for a critique, I won't give you a full one, but I HAVE looked at your comic before. Your art has improved a lot in a short time, but I have to tell you I abhor the design of your main character. There are no distinguishable features other than the white circle. Is he one eyed? Is he wearing a miner's hat? When he was wearing clothes, he looked a little better... but really, people identify with faces. When we anthropomorphise, we give faces. Faces convey a good deal of emotion. Faces are the first things babies learn to react to. It's pretty much hardwired into us. I think your main character not having one, or even some approximation, makes it hard for the readers to identify with the character. And really that's what you want. (I mean, besides lots of sex from fangirls.)

You should have seen the original designs... they didn't have the little white circle. The only reason THAT's there is so that people know which way he's facing.
Trevor's going to evolve... the way he looks was an experiment. I'm not sure if you've read "Understanding Comics", but in one part that talk about how if a character is really simplified, it's easier for the readers to relate to him. I know this doesn't apply to mainstream comic books, except some of the alternative comics that nobody reads, but it really makes sense. Anyways, I figured I could make him as simplified as possible while still being recognizable. He's going to evolve though... not sure how I can work out giving him a face, but i'll manage.
-edit-
And i shouldn't really complain about my slight lack of readers. The comic did just start in May... 700 hits in my second full month isn't THAT bad, considering how poorly drawn my comic is.

I have read Understanding Comics.
And simple is good. I do really simple characters because I can't draw for beans. ^_^
I was just relating to you basic psychology. And Trevor (the character) being dark drags the eye to him. And he's devoid of humanity. Look at boxjam for an interesting "minimalist" comic. Look at what he does with just 2 eyeballs and a little bit of posing.
Your character, while minimalist in the sense of features, is very busy linewise. He has all sorts of lighter and darker sections from the scribbled in coloring look, and fingers, thin legs, and appendages every which way. A paucity of lines giving lots of expression is minimalist. You have almost the opposite, a plethora of lines revealing little expression. Although your posing is getting MUCH better, which reveals a lot more about Trevor. And him blushing was pretty good too.
If you're going for solid black, go whole hog for the solid black and remove the distracting scribblyness.
Maybe have just a hint of a line here or there to show the cap and browline. That would improve his emotiveness quite a bit.
Anyway, these are just suggestions pulled out of my butt. ^_^ Like I said, I'm incompetant at drawing myself. Hehehehe.

Wow... see in some forums people are complaining about not being able to pop up over 200 visits in a month, then in here everyone says 400 sucks... *sigh* I got 405 and I'm damn happy because I know about 7 people personally that checked out the site regularly the rest were people on here or something else so I'm happy. I don't see what the big deal is about visits, you like what your doing right? So why worry? Sure I look at my stats quite often, but just cuz I don't have 1 billion visits a month doesn't mean I suck... aw well... too each his own.
