Welcome to the Break Room

Post by LaterJ »

Hello Retail Faithful,

Finally, Retail Weekly has its very own forum. And this here, is its very first post.

OoooOoooOooh, I feel tingly.

I am Jason Seabaugh, artist and author of said webcomic and I welcome you to the Break Room, the Retail Weekly Forum.

This forum will serve as a place for Retail Weekly fans to get together and discuss the webcomic, your favorite strips, story arcs, characters, whatever. It will also serve as a place where we can bitch and complain about our jobs and all the torment we endure in the service of "the man".

Feel free to start a new topic and let the good times roll.

Forum at last!

Post by ChronoMatt »

Jason, great strip, seriously. Finally a forum arrives and I can't think of a thing to post in it. Figures. Ah well... Oh, as for characters, Jerry and Beth rock, especially in the Christmas strip. For lesser used cast to be so well developed speaks highly of the overall work. Keep it up!

I don't have anything to say but great comic...I know how the carictors feel. I have been in some of those situations before...from security nightmares to the customer from hell.

A little background on me. I have been in retail for almost 6 years now, and have seen it all...I have mainly worked in supermarkets but also a little exp in Target and being put up for managment at Pizza Hut right now...(Pizza Hut falls under Retail in Australia).

I have done work in other indistries as well (automotive and security) by 99% of my working life has been in retail.

If you are wondering that is me in the avaitor.

Until next time, keep up the good work

Love the comic. Makes me glad I only do retail on a summer basis right now, as I'm a student.

I've worked mostly at clothing stores; currently I work at a Ross and am amassing retales from hell by the day.

Hi Jason. Glad to see a forum for a very deserving comic. Don't worry. I'm sure we'll all have some horror stories to tell as we go along.

*inserts padlocked rubbermaid tub into section of the fridge*

It's good to see that Retail Weekly finally has a forum. I love the strip, I even have a few printed out and hang at my locker (which I had to put not 1, but 3 locks on...) at the keen Office Supply Superstore that I work for.... to remind me of what was I thinking when I agreed to endure the hells of working in retail. Keep up the great work Jason.

Unlike the Police I do not have restrictions on how I stop the bad guys...Fires a burst into the roof...all the shoppers duck...Hand the can back please...or next time it won't be the roof getting shot up...

CPOK places a lidded container in the fridge (container unlabled). It has a cake inside it

i wont touch it dont worry... yet.
Oh boy Retail is a good comic.
Dont ever shop at Sam Goody... ever. i worked there for three and a hlaf years, and they just decide to stop scheduling me, in fact they replaced our entire store. im prettysure there are laws against it.

Anyway, im putting this bottle of coke in here, im not gonna drink it, its just a test of trust.
