Hi Dragongirl!
Wow! I am surprised to see that someone has recently posted in here! I still have fans?! Thermalyte has fans?!!!!!
This is news to me!
Well, actually I've been meaning to continue on with Thermalyte since September, but I've been so busy with school, first adjusting to a new school, then applying to University, then (and now) I.S.U.s ... so I don't have much energy left for the comic. I'm planning on drawing some more Thermalyte up before my Christmas break is over... So there should be at LEAST one new strip up for the new year... Hopefully I can finally finish this first chapter, though. It's been dragging on forever. It's been over a year and a half, now. That's just sad.
I still like Thermalyte, but I'm not sure if I want to continue on with Chapter 2 or 3 anytime soon. Some of my ideas have been lost, and most of my enthusiasm for the comic, and for Zeila, is gone. I still have enthusiasm for Luke, though... and that's why he's going to be a part of my mini-series "Sugar High" come this spring over at Yankuckcanee. That should be really fun and interesting.
And I also have another project of mine coming up, J-Force. I really need to focus and concentrate if I want to get that off the ground by June 2003 (which I do). Not to mention a few collaberated projects (Comi-swap 2003 at Yankuckanee, and Sally Moon), and my homework and my personal life. I'm really spreading myself thin! But I'm also a really lazy person... so add 2 and 2 together, and with me, you only get 1.... See what I'm saying? But yeah, I will AT LEAST be finishing Chapter 1 by the end of February.
I'm really excited about J-Force and Sugar High.. Both are new ideas, and they are important to me to grow as an artist and as a person. Thermalyte, I guess, is my "learning" comic... and Sugar High will be the same. Hopefully, J-Force will always look nicely polished, even though I will still be trying out and learning new things with that as well.
But don't give up hope! Thermalyte is most CERTAINLY NOT on a PERMANENT VACATION! At least, not until I finish Chapter 1. Then I'll see how I'm feeling from there.
Well, it's Christmas Eve, almost 3pm, I'm still not dressed and company is coming over soon, so I gotta go.
Thanks for worrying, DragonGirl. I'm glad to know somebody misses my stuff. It cheers me up.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Merry Kwanza, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to anyone and everyone!!!!
^_^
