It doesn't involve cabbage (or whatever he would say)

Have you thought of doing a competition, where people give Coolville a new concept like a your alternate worlds strip.

In mine, Coolville is an Eskimo soap opera
The Damien is an man-killing Polar bear.

PS: Totally unrelated but check out this He-Man pic:

I know Heman and Skeletor. Can anyone ID the others?
I recognize the Snake woman as a man from the movie.

You are INSANE, sir! ...fortunately, zany insanity is always welcome around here.
...and you're right, that's a skillful Masters of the Universe depiction. The only ones I can name off the top of my head right now are He Man and Skeletor, tho.

Heehee! How about furries?
Denny: Chihuahua
(Raine can be a scruffier chuihuahua)
Dylan: Wolf
Teresa: Cocker Spaniel
Kristan: Skunk (but pretty)
Rufus: Snapping turtle
Jamie: kittycat!

Don't think about the logistics!!!

Hee hee...remember the ones I did in my infamous "one year anniversary" comic? I made Denny a bunny and Teresa a kittycat.
And I can totally see all of those too...hee hee, chihuauha...
My alternate that I didn't end up using for that comic was Kristan as a reddish-orange tiger girl.
That was fun...because I really did it because anthropomorphism is SO NOT my thing, and I'm severely not into it. I guess I just wanted to try and understand the appeal of it. And it was a lot of fun to draw!
Okay...another alternate universe...how bout like a fantasy one? Denny has his faery wings, but they're, like, natural. Teresa's maybe the only human. Dyl and Kris are maybe wandering hobo-style elves.

How about Coolville 2099?
Denny is a house cleaning- makeover-robot.
Dylan is a Hans Solo type guy, cept he just sits in a bar high.
Kris is a rebel fighter on the street.
JPD is a half cyborg, half pyscho guy.

erm...

Adoption, maybe? or maybe those ultra recessive genes, like when two black-haired people have a blond kid.

He said "don't think about the logistics"!
I like the recessive gene theory...in fact, I like all these weird ideas. Heh. Gilligan's Island...who gets to be the Skipper and who gets to be Gilligan?
The mecha/star wars thing also appeals to me...hee hee
...Or maybe this furry alterate universe is also set in the year 2099, and there have been huge advances in inter-species reproductive technology, so that two dogs can produce a cat.
Or maybe Teresa's just not telling him something!
heh...no, I know, way too out of character, even in that bizarre scenario.

Double Kat posting.

Kat, how about a competition for us readers?
And you pick 7 winners, each one gets a strip up of their idea drawn by them or you (depending on ye workload).

I wish we had double Kats!

Anyway, either that, or we could just draw and submit our ideas. hee. Actually, instead of ideas, let's call them brain children, because that sounds so much cooler.

Agreed. My current brain child is that I should walk to the convenience store and get a slurpee.
...If there were double Kats, one could be studying right now while the other goes on a wacky fun-filled road trip or something! Of course, one would probably have to be an evil one.
Actually...y'know, now that you mentioned it...um, I've avoided anything resembling guest strippage up til now. But I think it might be good, and a lifesaver for the week or so right at the end of summer while I'm moving to my new place...I shall keep you posted. *wheels in brain turning...*
And of course, I always wanna see everybody's brain children! Ooh...I just made up a new word that could mean the same thing...brainspawn. Sounds like a villainous creature.

So... I guess I couldn't float my Coolville as a Hobo Epic thing, huh.

OOH!
You are a genius on par with Einstien. And they should also be hobos.
Can you say...unnecessary spinoff formulating in my mind?
