... we had a thread designated to discussing the comic, and insulting Yahtzee and stuff?
Ah, those were the days...
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I really liked today's (March 28) strip. Enough to make a whole new thread about it.

And I can't remember the girl from Chrono Trigger's name. Marl? Mara? Something beginning with 'm'? If someone doesn't tell me, this is going to bug me for the rest of the day, just like those stupid jamb figures.

Heh. Kupo!

what is this anyway? Old storyline month? You've got the General, the Anti Yahtzee, Flamingo Man and Dave (although that's not really old, per se), and now what? The borg coming back? King Penguin landing on the beach? How weird.

Her actual name is Princess Nadia, but she calls herself Marle for some reason.

sorry...but to me this line of story seems kinda well..cheap to me. First we have the anti yahtzee guy wanting revernge with him wanting the portal to open....and then the very next day yahtzee and the gang are thinking about openning a protal...... but i read the comic strip still--it always has an unexpected intreseting twist!

So what happens if Yahtzee & co. open a portal into Reality On The Norm? Or Rob Blanc for that matter?

The mind boggles.

I have a confession to make... I hate RPGs. Especially those small console ones.
I've tried playing one. I now hate them a little more.
Anyway, I don't know whom Paul was thinking about.
Nor Rob, for that matter. Is it some character from New Zeland Adventure, or what?

Edit: 'Character' is spelled with one H.

Rob's thinking about a moogle, one of Square's recurring character-things, especially in the Final Fantasy series(console RPGs. Sorry Darnn). The joke is that while the other two were thinking about attractive women, good ol' Rob was thinking about this cute little teddy-bear like thing that is neither human, nor (probably) female.
I dunno. I thought it was funny.

Yeah, her name was Marle, but I called her Zygote. Well, Zygot. They only give you five letters. Fascists.

My friends always yelled at me for changing their names to something other than the specified names. This is mostly because they would talk about characters in the game, and I would have no idea who they were talking about. The solution? Stop playing RPGs...

But yeah, I was also kinda intrigued by the mentioning of old characters, even referencing the James Bond character who died waaaay back when in the pre-color days. I like it though, nothing wrong with a little continuity.

I never change the characters names, simply coz I cant be assed. If they have a crap name, its not my problem. For some reason, I could never really get into the FF series, though I loved Crono Trigger.

If this is going to be the official 'discuss the comic' thread, I just wanted to say that I love Ludo's face in that comic.
Investing in Anime-type characters paid off.

Speaking of the pre-colour days, why didn't you originally use colour Yahtzee?
I mean, were you that lazy that you couldn't spend ten seconds filling in the spaces with colour?
Me? I'm just the sex appeal.

Hey, coloring is harder than you'd think. Don't knock it till you've tried it. I only color my strip on sundays, although I'm considering whether I should try to color it daily...

I actually *am* to lazy to do it all the time. Yahtzee kicks my arse, heh.
