What's with the surprise endings to all these comics? It's like giving a man a heart attack every time he scrolls down...

Turns out Jackie is political minded. I mean, she found and allied with Stu's enemy. She's smarter than your usual neophyte... Just like how Tim the fanboy turned out to be. Who knew these nex bloods would be so resourceful?

Heh... At first, I thought she changed 'bughouse' because she has a bad opinion of them and didn't want to make it seem that way...
I guess the brain took her over. I'm tending towards the 'Rumy's child' theory at the moment... who appearently went through some sort of metamorphisis.

Also note that Guth seems to be noticing Jackie anatomically as well as intellectually. Or is he just pondering the pretty cross shapes?

Seems Big Brain is making Jackie slip back into whats seems like a New York accent.

But why? Does Big Brain supress people's minds somehow, or is it deliberately trying to cause that specific effect? Or is it just giving off random (and thus confusing) psychic radiation to try and get attention?

Those giant brains from space, always trying to get attention...

Note that DoubleSpeak said, "BACK into a New York accent." I think that part is quite interesting. After all, where did we first meet her? New York City. She's doing one big cosplay of being a brit when she's really just a New Yorker. Somebody call the papers!

Actually, we already knew that she wasn't English, though where she was from originally wasn't certain. She even told Will as much when they first met.

And no, Guth wasn't looking at Jackie at all; the angle of the drawing is misleading. She was actually behind him the whole time.

Good question. I guess we will find out in time. Maybe the psychic radiation given off by Big Brain forces people to reveal their true selves? Now that would be an interesting side effect.

It is interesting that we see yet another alien that is colored. Not every alien in Fans! has been, like Hyperman, and I am interested in knowing what the criteria an alien has to fulfill to be colored.

I don't know why, but the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the last panel was... "Duh da... Salsa shark! We're gonna need a bigger boat."

That was really weird! (good weird, mind you)
It gets me wondering whether Jackie is under the influence of the brain or if she's really everything she makes out to be.

And I think it's Rumy's love child.

I'm not so sure about the Rumy's child business now but seeing as it has color and the xenokids had oversized heads to begin with it's possible that it soaked up so much knowledge that it's mind literallexpanded outt of its flimsy concept of a skull.

I personally hope that we have Guth and Jackie one on one with it.
Stu and Kath with the General.
Meaghan and Alsin with each other (Fanservice baby! and I DON'T mean the comic's name! Rowr!)
And all the rest of the fans scrambling around getting Tim to as hospital and trrying to get back to Billberg without their cars.

I think that this aliend could in fact be the one who thought of the concept known as Xenochicklets and that they were merely puppets and illusions that he conjured through his advanced manipulation of perceptions. He could now be visiting in his actual physical form which could explain why his entrance was so less fluid than theirs.
Oh, and as far as destroying the Xenochicklets like the tanks and Jones did, they were merely forcefully vdisbelieving them out of theire reality and back into the brain's mind.

As far as a moniker Big Brain sounds fine unless the general or someone dubs it. Then again it might just introduce it self..............on MONDAY!

I personally think the critera is 'Whatever Jason and T think will be most striking.' I think it's a really neat way to emphasize the sheer Otherwordlyness of the aliens. I also think it's a metaphore. If the aliens stick out THAT much in a black and white world, how much more will they stick out in our world of technocolor? When we see their 'true colors' (as it were).

And.. just as a comment on the side... Jason.. you draw the most adorable aliens ever! This one is even cuter than the Xenochicklets, in my opinion. In other words (to coin a terrifyingly over-used Japanese phrase):

KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!

How close to 'home' were Rikk & co when the meteor landed? If they're not right outside, it means that either there's more than one brain out there, or it can move really fast. So Jackie & Guth won't have to take it on by themselves. Probably.

Possible, but...

Maybe she's just very passionate about getting Stu removed, and she forgot to affect the ol' Cockney bit. I think this is very, very important to her; she's a wee bit scared that he won't get kicked out and impatient with Kath's more democratic approach to the problem.

We're pretty sure he was set on violating her that night, and he hasn't shown any real interest in the club, other than ogling her and terrorizing Guth. While I'm sure he'll be realized more fully later on as a penitent hero or sorts, an effective villain or a mix of the two, as it stands he's just a minor, though threatening, bully who she wants to see gone before he can really do some harm.

Or, since T has informed us that a member of the club will be biting the dust during the current storyline, he might just wind up six feet under. In fact, dead, his impact on the club might be much more interesting... People always seem to experience so much emotional entangelment over things like wishing someone ill shortly before they shuffle off this mortal coil, especially if they make their exit by, for example, taking a bullet/laser/etc for someone else.

Hmm... she ain't English. Must have missed that before... that's probably her real accent. Although... she THINKS British. Remember when she was reading Tolkien? She talked about American in third person... Maybe she's only New Yorker at her very core being...
And I was beginning to wonder if the brain has intercepted New York cop shows while in outer space...
(ponders)
Hmm... What is missing here? It's like a puzzle, but with one, important piece missing. The whole thing isn't even visible without that one piece...

Oh, come on, Maritza. Don't give away all our secrets. It's not like we've blabbed that April only told Margaret about Dave because she's fallen for Margaret herself... oops.

You didn't hear that. And I was just making it up anyway. Why, I don't even read CRFH! I don't even know what those letters stand for! Stop staring at me! AAAAARRRGHH!!!
