Not that I have the time to do it, but I'd like to find some new comics to read. Unfortunately, I have some specific things I tend to like/dislike in comics.
1) I don't much care for manga-style, or chibi-style. In fact, despite having a minor in Japanese with a focus on culture, we never really got into discussing manga, and I'm not even 100% sure what chibi means.
2) I don't like sprite comics, derivative comics, or comics that rely heavily on knowing video games or pop culture. I mean, I know who Pikachu is, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get a joke in which he faces a FF character in a tag-team chess match.
3) Artwork can be great or cruddy. Mine happens to be cruddy, so I sympathize with you artless wonders. I just might be your patron saint.
My favorite comics are BoxJam's Doodle, Schlock Mercenary, Randym Thoughts, Odd Jobs, Todd and Penguin, Spare Change, 1/0, etc, etc, etc... not necessarily in that order. (If I've left you off and you know I love you, don't take it personally.)
Can anyone give me some recommendations from Keenspace? (If it's not on 'space, I've probably tried it and either read it regularly or decided I didn't like it.)

Hmm... I'd like to put forth my strip mainly because it's not Japanese (anime/manga) influenced hardly at all, and really doesn't rely on pop culture stuff. Yay! There's some Star Wars stuff in there, but you don't even have to have seen the movies to actually get the jokes. It's not been running for very long, though. Feel free to check it out if you like.

You want bad art? I'm your man. Hell, I don't even DRAW my comics! Not in the traditional sense. And I'm not sprite! Err... not anymore... Skip the sprite section in the archives if you hate sprites.

You want badly-drawn? Well mine are stickmen. You want humour? Decide for yourself, after reading...

I've added a little random rotating banner to my front page under the heading "You Should Also Be Reading". Go to my main page and hit Refresh a few times to see some web comics that I highly recommend including:
Demonology 101, Outsider, Circleweave, Dynamanga and Facts/The Truth. Browse through them and you may find some new favorites.

I dislike manga/anime, gamer comics and references to pokemon and similar stuff too. And art? Well, I'm trying the best I can, may the others be the judges.
So, is it gonna be
<a href="http://mcduffies.keenspace.com"> mcDuffies</a>?

Hrm...I seem to meet all the requirements. There may be mild references to anime, games, and pop culture on rare occasions, but the comic certainly doesn't focus on that, isn't done in manga style, and is generally equally confusing to all.
And I got my first rave from Mike of <a href="http://fantasticalbestiary.keenspace.com">The Fantastical Bestiary</a>:
"This is a fairly new strip, but it's off to a good start. It really defies categorization."
Oh, and Mike's strip is definately worth checking out too. He humors me a lot.

This might fit the bill. Of course, it's mine. Link is in the sig.
I share your annoyance with manga, sprites, pop-culture over-referencing, and Goddamn videogames, so at least you can be confident that you will encounter none of the above at Mythocorp.
Oh, and so as not to be completely self-centered, JP Sloan has been making with the funny for six months of M-W-F comics over at Sawdust. Funny stuff, and the man's a right guy. Go check it out.

Allow me to reciprocate with an earnest endorsement for Mythocorp. It's got a spin I haven't seen in any other comics... at least, no where near as good as Kevin's.
Regarding comics w/out specialty gaming interest or manga influence (I just realized that my main character does have kinda sorta manga-ish hair):
I love 1/0. It's takes self-consciousness to a new level. http://oneoverzero.keenspace.com
Then there's Coolville. It's like a morality play for the jaded and absurd. It's all hand-done, and that faithfully! Good stuff. http://coolville.keenspace.com
When it comes to sick and/or twisted stuff, the best of the sick would be J. Grant's Flem. http://www.flemcomics.com
I'll always recommend Adam Prosser's Night Shift. He's got a couple more intermittent comics on his site, but they're well seasoned with manga influence, so you might not like them so much. http://webcomix.keenspace.com
Then there's always Victims of the System. Greco's just plain weird, but we love him. http://victims.keenspace.com
One of the classics is Red Meat. I put that one on my list of "Comics You Have To Read To Be Considered Fundamentally Human". http://www.redmeat.com/redmeat/
Ok, that's enough plugging for one day.

Ancient relic of a by-gone era.
My comic fulfills all of your requirements (well only one comic refers to video games) and I need more readers, so check it out if you want. "Beyond the Cage" at -> JoeGP.com

according to the comcis you like- i'd reccommed Framed!!
It has a varied drawing style- ranging from simple toons to all out wackiness in the current storyline (it's noir!) and insanely funny.
Besides, it's the cartoonist's cartoon. If you want to be a hip online comic artist, you should read it!
