This should have gone onto the main page, but ran into tech problems...

Nice! The profile head kind of has a Lea Hernandez feel to it, to me...

I've been listening to Ummagumma (the studio version) all week. Of course, now that there's actually a Pink Floyd reference I've got a '40s show tune anthology in my CD-rom drive... always just a little out of step.

It's up now. So is an updated cast sheet, for those who haven't noticed yet. (If it turns out it's been up for a while and I was the one who didn't noticed, ignore that comment...)

WARNING: PSL LEVELS APPROACHING CRITICAL. HORMONE OVERLOAD IMMINENT.

Wow. As if I weren't feeling enough like a dirty old man about Rumy (and Blue, and Paul, and Tybalt, and Ada, and... damn, I really do need to cut back on the web comics, don't I?).

Grim Jackie is definitely easier on the eyes than John Gaunt... but she's too young to run a bar, even in Cynosure, isn't she?

If she weren't straight, I'd say it was the Queer Ponytailed Redhead Conspiracy at work again. Not that I'm complaining.

Funny, I always figured her for a blonde. Probably because her hairstlye looks like Cammy's from the street fighter video game series (who is from England, actually.)

I always though her hair was blue...

Sure it's easy to say now, but I am happy to say I had thought her a redhead. Something about the face andshe has a redhead 'way' about her. I am so often wrong about such things I felt like a minor celebration (dances a happy jig).

THe picture is lovely. I am certianly enjoying Jackie with more of an edge than as random jailbait thrown in. I hope she doesn't continue trying to pursue something with Wil, because I just don't like the freaked out Wil that we get with her.

I didn't think of her as a redhead, either. I had to ask T right as I was doing the computer colouring. But after I got it all done, it seemed to make sense.

I'd always assumed she was a redhead because of a little clue. It's not a dead giveaway, obviously, but look at Jackie's face in her first appearance:

Freckles.

(As one of my redheaded coworkers has it on a sign behind her desk: "A face without freckles is like a sky without stars").

That opening shot always evoked Pippi Longstocking for me, so I always went with the red hair as well

I'd imagined her as a blonde myself. Jason of course always brings his own vision to the work -- compare his renderings of Jackie in the comic to the original sketch for her in our fanart section.

This is actually giving me ideas for a rewrite for an upcoming story... T, could you call me tonight after you get home from work?

Freckles imply red hair, for me...and I had the 'Pippi Longstocking' effect as well.

Is it just me, or does the profile in the 'Grim Jackie' pic look a bit like an unusually serious-looking Ranma-chan?

I can't think of anything inspirational from this conversation. But I guess that's why they're the ones doing the comic.

I'm afraid the Very Special Episode where we discover proof of Jackie's natural hair color would have to be done as a crossover with Exploitation Now!, or maybe Sinfest.

Nah, we just get to meet Jackies twin sister, who is a blond and a Canadian culture fan as opposed to British. Of course, the two of them don't get along and always argue over which gentlmen prefer, blond or redheads and then decide to have contest with Will as the judge..... THEN we go to exploitation now

The reason it bothers me is that he says it's a REWRITE of an upcoming story. I don't see this as anything dirty I see it as something that could be dangerous for poor Jackie or, more importantly, Will.

The fact that Greg wanted T to call him THEN also worries me because it denotes a sense of urgency in the idea. To me this means that whatever "upcoming story he wants to talk about is coming up soon. Possibly soon enough to be already written and sent off to Jason by now.

Keep your eyes open.

What, I can't just be excited about an idea and want to talk about it right off?
