My comic is a work of fiction. Any similarities to persons living or dead is strictly coincidental.
Of course, I do have to come clean and say that as a reference for Sugar Monkey I do turn to the only little kid I know, which would be Maddy. You'll notice that Sugar Monkey's speech patterns are more along the lines of "generic comic-strip little kid" than Maddy's, but she does have the same tastes (which, of course, will be addressed in a future strip).
For the rest of you, Oot is my sister and Maddy is our niece. She's four, and the word "adorable" constantly gets tossed around in her presence.
