Boy Bands

Maybe I'm misreading something here, feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.
Eye candy for females, you've got some assorted individuals, and the multiplicity of boy bands. Eye candy for males comes only in individual packets; ie, no `girl bands.` Okay, yes, they do exist, but not to the extent boy bands do.
I'm seeing several possible results from this 1) it takes several males to keep one female happy, and 2) popular cultue is more accepting of male pseudo-harems than female pseudo-harems.
Someone, anyone, point out the flaw in my logic, please... (okay, so it's more rethoric than logic...you know what I mean...)

I like to think of The Spice Girls as one of the few , rare, examples of humanity learning it's lesson.

The War To End All Wars?

no.

The Nuclear Age?

no.

Biological, Chemical Weapons?

no.

The Systemic Mistreatement Of Other Humans!?

no.

Spice Girls

yes.

Thank God.

thanks though,

still has me giggling.

It's not a *true* girl band if they display any evidence of talent, or brain waves.

No, no...boy bands show a great deal of mental power. With an utter lack of talent, they still manage to make millions and have hoards of screaming fans. Naturally, with one, (money or fans) you can usually get the other. I'd pretty much be content with either (yes, that's implying I have neither).

Not only do they manage to con millions of screaming girls to buy their poorly-made albums, they can even get into...::Shivers::...Star Wars...

Well, I don't really have anything to add to this conversation, but I want to make a grab for the bonus point.

Is it... Horton Hatches An Egg?
Cripes. I know what I'm talking about, it's the Dr. Suess book with the elephant that agreed to sit in a tree for a bird... but the exact title escapes me at the moment.

Hears a Hoo. The book you're thinking of is "Horton Hears a Hoo"n, but that's not it.

DukeNuke: Nsync got into Star Wars? Cripes! It was Episode1 was it? That movie wad like a big screensaver from hell. Pig-evil I tell you!

Nope... it was episode 2 they were supposed to be in.

they were going to be the crew of a jedi ship... for a few seconds, then be killed.

but since the starwars community voiced it's objections to this in the furthest extent, they decided that they didn't want to be in it anymore.

... see.. our voices DOES matter ;)

No no no... Horton Hears A Who and Horton Hatches The Egg are two different books. One's about the tiny wolrd inside a dandelion, and the other's about a neglectful mother bird leaving the nest and coming back for her egg when it means she'll be famous. She managed to get Horton to agree to sit on the egg, and he does, despite all sorts of stuff happening to him. And all the time, he's says something along the lines of 'I meant what I said, and I said what I meant; An elephant's faithful one hundred percent.'

...'course, now that I've taken the time to look up the relevant information, I see that what I had in mind and what you were saying weren't that similar after all. Next guess... Lewis Carroll?

a) from what i heard, n*suck have not been cut from the movie. its not like they have huge parts anyway, just little backgrounds that will allow a person who cares enough to boast that a n*shitty boyband got into a movie that will once again be a dissappointment to the original trilogy (admit it, lucas has ruined the name starwars) basically they were entered to apease lucas's daughter, so i heard anyway, and whether or not they get cut has nothing to do with them, its how the scene fits in the movie. but this is all second hand knowledge.

b)i'm going to quote the one part of any eminem song that i actually agree with: "New Kids on the Block suck a lot of dick. boy girl bands make me sick. i can't wait til i meet all them faggots in public, gonna luv it." basically saying, i hear a boy band and want to to carve out my ear drums with a rusty spoon. of course ... it could be britney.::shudder::

which brings me to
c)its not that it takes multiple guys to please a girl compared to one girl pleasing a guy. it is more of a case of needing 5 guys in a boy band to be equivelent to one of the girl pop singers. the guys are butt ugly. put them together and you may almost have a chance of putting together a single decent guy.

Let's not quote Eminem on my forum, please. NSync may be pathetic, but I have absolutely no use for a rapper with no rhythm and nothing to say.

That is, of course, my opinion, and if you like him, then whatever floats your goat.

I wouldn't be too certain on that, but if want to cut them apart, I'll help in trying to mix and match pieces.

Hrrmm, wonder what one of them would feel upon reading that last...almost enough to make me feel sorry for my statements... almost.

I keep having this wonderful dream where I'm onstage at an N'Sync concert, and I have a harpoon gun in my hand, and it's just wonderful.

i appologize profusely for quoting eminem. for a long while my brother listened to him and that one part stuck in my mind. the harpoon gun dream is so similar to multitudes of mine. boy bands and other pop singers entrance the youth of today and encourage them to dress like those nice women on the corner in vegas. not to mention suggestive lyrics. all this aimed at an age group of pre teens. as if that age group isn't corrupted enough

It's not a *true* band unless they actually play instruments. Singing Group != band.

Bingo. On the nose and all that. I won't press for the actual character since I'm not too sure. I think the Mad Hatter was who says it.

odd.

I keep hoping that the back up CD just starts skipping.

Hmm, I'm guessing that's the reason why scratch is so popular with the great majority of performers today.

So, if Eminem has so much deep-seated hatred for certain lifestyles, how come he performed with Elton John?

I know, I know, the big question at the time was, "Why did Reg perform with Eminem?", but the reasoning behind that is Sir Elton doesn't seem to hold such petty biases.

I don't know. I'm starting Day Two without any heat in the house. I can't think straight. Gonna be a loooong weekend, whine whine complain complain.....
