Personally, I think they were all nuts... *I'd* have taken her up on the offer.
------------------

Would you have said that in real life about a girl with a rail gun for an arm?
Besides which, am I the only one who felt bad for Jordan? Am I the only one who can feel sympathy for a lone wolf?
Sheez, us mad scientists better stick together.
Austen

The first two panels I felt like taking her up on the offer. But the she got all sad and melancholy. Then I felt like I should give her a small country to destroy. Or some eggnog inna Hello Kitty mug. Ya know something happy and festive.
------------------

I would say the same thing about a girl with a railgun arm, in a flat heartbeat.
Just make sure that you redefine the words "safe sex" to include making sure the safety is on.
And I personally want to see her screw the bartender (illegally of course) four ways form sunday, and then shoot him in the back as he runs, screaming and on fire, from her apartment.
I had a dream like that a couple nights ago, but starring myself and a transsexual clone of Don Knotts.
------------------

Me, I would't (do think she's very attractive, just not that sort of bloke), but some of my characters might think differently...
[Tessiri appears. For those who do not know my work (that should be everyone), she is the villain of one of my big projects, and the head Mad in my MSTings. She looks rather like a cross between Alcione (MKR) and Seven of Nine.]
Tessiri: My...aren't we the most adorable mastermind in training...I do hope Ralph was correct a few strips ago...

Hrmm. . .if I saw a depressed looking 16 year old female with a rail-gun, chances are I'd do something. . .probably take up my old possission as unofficial psycologist for all my friends. Then I'd see if I could get an apprenticeship under her. :P
Oh, and just wanna say this: Poe, youve struck the perfect balance of perversion and philosophy. I bow to you. :-) Move over Sluggy, Misha may have a new favorite comic coming through.

OK. First, y'all are sick. But then I do be sick too, so who's cares? I like Jordan. She happens to be my favourite chara in EN, and if I actually met her, I would probably try to be a boyfriend.
Judging from today's (25.Dec) strip, this was not neccessarily a case of "let's be evil" as much as a "you all rejected me and now you'll pay" kind of influence early in life to the point it has become the major driving force for her personality. However, she is of course a villian. (Interestingly enough, Ralph's comment about "evil looking sixteen year old having trouble with government agencies" describes someone I know in RL, but she hasn't a cybernetic arm.)
I would probably take her home, I _wouldn't_ sleep with her, and be a companion. You don't take advantage of girl when vulnerable, especially when she can destroy you, family, and everyone who has ever laid eyes upon you and enjoy it if she feels stood up.
BTW, Poe, are you done screwing with the design on her arm? It's changed three times since her first appearance.

Some interesting facts about all the response I got about that strip:
percentage of people who said they wanted me to draw them into the strip so they could try to pick up Jordan- 15%
percentage of people who said she should go home with the bartender-8%
pecentage of people who said how emotional the strip was and that they identifed with the way Jordan felt on the holidays-37% (personally, I was really, really surprised at how large this number is considering how my regular mail is)
percenatge of people who repeatedly pointed out how incredily unrealilistic it was that no one in the bar tried to take her up on the offer- 30%
the various "I wanna see Jordan pr0n" responses-15%

Heh, and I think the one of the funniest responses I heard was in one email, someone said that in the last panel, the bartender sould have said "Um... perhaps you'd have better luck if you went down the street and tried that at the stright bar."
[This message has been edited by Poe (edited 12-27-2000).]

That is funny, but the straight bar is in Greytown. That would make for some interesting circumstances.
I'm not a mad scientist but I am a mad computer geek- does that count? Also, I have never put down the amateur psyk hat.
If I tried to pick up Jordan, my RL girlfriend would stick me. She has a knife she carries for just that occasion, and has used it before.
