Woohoo!
The Vicious Lies message board is now up and running, and soon there may be some actual comics!
So, if you're reading this, you probably know who I am, and I won't bore you with any more personal details at the moment. However, I would love it if you would post something here for us, to get this board started right!
And great news -- despite my scanner problems, I'm working on strips for this past week! That's right, when the comics begin appearing, you'll know there's a bunch of prior comics already in the archives! (Well, maybe not a "bunch" -- I'm uncertain how many a "bunch" actually signifies.)
I've used up my quota of exclamation points for the day, so let's hear from you now...
--Strange/Dave
------------------

Heyas BoxJam!! All right, I'm up to three people who are willing to say hello, and not a single comic is up yet!
(This may look like self-pitying sarcasm, but I swear it's not. It's self-indulgent exhibitionistic fervor. I'm actually extremely psyched about this.)
(Honest.)
I'm also psyched because my drawing has radically improved in the last two days. In fact, my biggest trouble now is that Dave's head seems to shrink and grow too much.
--Strange/Dave
------------------

I think what Vicious Lies needs is one more vicious liar. So, here I am.
Okay, so maybe I'm not a vicious liar, but I am vicious.
Okay, maybe I'm not vicious on the phone or in person, but man, make me mad in an e-mail or a chat or something and I'm a snarling rabid beast!
Okay, maybe not rabid. Or a beast. I do have a kind of Elvis lip curl thing going on that runs in the family, but I'd like to think of it as the basis of a really heinous snarl.
Okay, it's not a lot like Elvis. Heck, I don't even dance.
Lummox JR

Hey, guys! Thanks for dropping by! Yeah, I'm starting my own comic, and it's going to be based around my life. I know what you're thinking -- ooooh, yeah, another autobiographical comic, where the artist thinks everyone should be interested in him, when his life is really a pathetic, boring yawn of an existence. Well, let me ask you this -- when's the last time you read an autobiographical comic from a guy who once held a loaded gun to the back of a corrupt policeman's head and threatened to pull the trigger if he didn't tell his sergeant that I was innocent and exactly where he held the cocaine? When's the last time you read an autobiographical comic from a guy who signed up to go skydiving and then was given a non-functional parachute, and was saved by another jumper who happened to be a friend from summer camp he hadn't seen since they were twelve? And when's the last time you read an autobiographical comic from a guy who woke up in the middle of the night to discover his apartment was on fire and managed to get everyone safely out before looking through a window and seeing that the elderly woman living alone downstairs was either asleep or unconscious, and then he broke through the window and helped firemen get her out before passing out from smoke inhalation, and then he received a medal from the mayor and a phone call from the governor? And where was this comic? It sounds awesome, I'd like to read it myself. But since I don't know of any comics like that, and my life is nothing like that, I'm gonna do one about me, and you're gonna like it.*
--Strange/Dave
*or stop reading it, which is altogether possible, considering how delayed the grand opening is.

------------------

If the title says Vicious Lies, but you're using acutal events from your life, wouldn't that make it more or less mean the title should really be Vicious Truth? Or is this gonna be like movies based on real life with fictitious additions for dramatic effect?
.........Did I just get philosophical?
JtP- .........Did I just get philosophical?
(Sounds so nice, I used it twice..........crap!! It rhymed!!)

Dave Fuller for Senate

Well, if he ran against Hillary I think people would still vote for him. Then again, I've long maintained my evil gray cat (the Devil Cat, as she's affectionately known) has more right to the office.
Lummox JR
