Aaargh!! (11-26-01)
There appear to be a gajillion in-jokes in this strip, but I **CANT MAKE THEM OUT** there's a guy with his hair on fire (!) in the background, and a bunch of notices all over. PLEASE finish this one fast so's I can see em all properly. (Even tho you'll end up having to explain em all)
Oh and, "Acme Safe." Hehe. Did you take a hint from Elf Life?

Carson, go to www.elflife.com, and go start reading "Mermaid Queen Leukothia" for some heeeelarious send ups of old cartoons. It's a complete hoot. I assumed that's what had inspired you to include the bit of roadrunner humor.

Some people have theorized that since he mail-orders so much stuff, Wile E. must be rich. If so, why doesn't he order Take-out?
I have my own theory I developed recently. Wile E. is a Soooop-er Genius, and has taken full advantage of a small clause in Acme's Double-your-money-back Guarantee. Instead of getting money back, he just gets 'store credit'. Over the years, his credit line with Acme has gone through the roof, while their lawyers have pulled their hair out trying to figure out how to get them out of the guarantee. Unfortunately, Acme Lawyers aren't Soooop-er Geniuses, or roadrunners (who didn't study law), so Wile E. Coyote has Acme by the short hairs.
As a bit of revenge, Acme makes sure to send defective products when Wile E. orders.
-Zodo, CI

Actually, that would be the guy's wife, doing the 'I'm so mad I'm burning up!' thing. It's prevalent in anime. Some call it the 'battle aura'. Usually used by ver jealous/posessive anime women who like to use large blunt objects on the objecs of their affection.
