How interesting that we've all been discussing drug use, when BJ's obviously been smoking something. c.c Jackie's being accused of being a heretic by Muppet Hour rejects!
Oh, Jackie, you knew your days as a mobster where you took that job and put a hit out on Bert would come back to haunt you. Ernie's revenge! His reveeeeeeeeeeeeeenge!
------------------

Oh, by the way, BJ, GREAT art on today's strip, absolutely wonderful. I think you've improved massively since the beach storyline alone. (Not that it wasn't good back then, it's just better now.)
------------------

I was less eloquent than Rann, I just said "whaaaa?"
Heretic? I can see me up there, or maybe even Caryn, but Jackie?
And I don't think they're Muppets, I think they're Lemmings! They look exactly like the silly things I used to play on my Apple.
And to me, Lemmings would work for a mob mentality anyway...
------------------

This is ironic, because right now I'm supposed to be studying for my World History midterm, which includes the Protestant and Catholic reformations, and witch/heretic burnings.
i can't escape the LEARNING!
but i'm pretty sure the Jackie storyline won't be educational.

Or maybe perhaps this is happening all in her mind, her "internal" torment, if you will...
...or maybe she just lives in a neighborhood full of lemmings...
------------------

I must be missing some sort of pop culture reference, because today's comic made no sense whatsoever. Hopefully it's just that I don't get the reference... it'd suck if Jackie's Fridge was just turning into a bunch of ridiculousness that's supposed to come off as funny but doesn't make it. (Happened with that Ballard Street or whatever that newspaper comic is... I call it "The Far Side as done by someone who doesn't get the jokes in The Far Side".)
------------------

I believe it's a Muppet Movie reference, although I couldn't tell you which one...somewhere in the dim recesses of my mind, I can hear Gonzo singing it, so I think it might be Muppets from Space, but I'm not sure. Can't find any confirmation out on the web.
BTW - has anyone else noticed how completely useless search engines have become when it comes to phrase/complex searches? Unusable. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/frown.g ... -Shannon
[This message has been edited by jackiesfridge (edited 10-24-2001).]

Tsk, someone's used all of my 'fraggle rock' references.
This is definitely odd. Not as odd as the fact that the FRIDGE TALKS, but odd.
It's a good thing these guys seem to have the combined IQ of a boiled turnip, or Jackie might actually be in trouble.
