What is your view on Roleplaying?

I love to roleplay, but James though I wouldn't like it. So I went to a game with him and Alex, and now I'm stuck on it.<P>Feel free spill your thoughts out on this topic.Thats about all I have to say on this post. <P>

*giggle* Reminds me of my first times playing D&D... Had one fella in the group that REALLY liked killin' stuff. I learned to stop making pixies when his archer kept shooting 'em with arrows and sticking them to the wall.<P>But we all got him back in the end. Heh! Lock that nasty lil' fella away in a smelly old dungeon with insane people for a while... heheheheh....<P>Ahem, er, quite sorry, there.<P>------------------

Right on... heh heh... I think it rocks. I don't know if it's because you get to immerse yourself in something that is very different than your every day life, or just because you get live out your dreams and kill stuff.<P>Killing stuff is fun.... especially with shovels.<P>... or pizza that comes back to life ...<P>... or shooting a wall on the moon at close range with a powerful enegery weapon ...<P>... or with fire that emits from under your tongue ...<P>... or turning someone into a tree ...<P>... or becomming a metallic tree that walks 4 inches an hour ...<P>... or ... well, I could go on, but only two people in the world will get any of these... heh heh...<P>- James<P>------------------

You guys are weird....hehe.<P>In my days of roleplaying I've never had another member go on a killing spree and killing other characters, I guess it was just one of those unspoken rules that we would work together.<P>The main reason I like roleplaying is because it makes you THINK. Being a DM is more fun because you have to outthink all the players and put in things that you don't think they'll figure out. As a player you must outthink the DM and try to figure stuff out that he is hoping you won't! That and it's a fun social time with friends, lots of stories, and lots of bullshitting.<P>I miss those days with my friends but nothing has been the same and we play less and less now that one of our members (Debbie was her name) was recently killed in a car collision. =( Her husband was also in the group and she was one of the most respected members there, that was NOT a good week.
