Sure, it makes sense - like someone else said on a different thread, Jones' want (with the 23-sider) was to be FREE of the FIB - and the result of his want getting granted was a major restructuring of that particular organization.I'm guessing that he's using a 'voluntary' approach to recruit Kath and the rest of the Fans on a new mission, like he agreed he would earlier. The 'initiative' he mentioned is probably the implementation of his agreement with the Fans...------------------

Hmm... two threads discussing today's comic. I'll commandeer this one to steer in a completely different direction.Earmuffs and a BELLY SHIRT? Is it cold outside or not? Jones is in a Hawaiian shirt, Jackie's exposing a lot of skin, but it's obviously cold since there are scarves, jackets, and earmuffs. Do the others not get frostbite, or just don't get cold, or what?Oh, and as an afterthought, "All Our Dumb Secrets." Perfect. If you can't figure it out on your own, it's labelled for the logic-impared.------------------

Actually, Jackie is wearing her belly shirt over winter wear. You can see that more clearly in yesterday's strip.As for Jones, he was only out of the car for a minute.

Nodrog's theories:1) Jones is trying the Miles Vorkosigan method of creative management, IE Confuse, bewilder, and BS them.2) Note he only gave them the STUPID secrets file. The fans will spend all their time verifying these secrets so they can use them as blackmail, thus leaving the SMART secrets safe and secure.3) He's hoping to lure the faans further into the conspiracy of sabotaging the new round-robin fanfic on this Keenspace message board.
