Is the flying ball thing in <A HREF="http://ancientmessages.keenspace.com/d/20001204.html" TARGET=_blank>this strip</A> inspired by the silver sphere in Phantasm?------------------

Yikes! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/eek.gif">I recommend Phantasm. Even though the acting isn't that great, and it looks like it was filmed on a budget of $2.99, it manages to be pretty scary--thanks in large (and I do mean large...they don't call him the Tall Man for nothing!) part to Angus Scrimm, the Creepiest Actor Alive. The sequels aren;t as good, although Phantasm 4 (aka Phantasm: OblIVion) is comparable. Phantasm 2 is definitely the least of the series.(fun fact: Angus Scrimm was Chris Carter's first choice to play the conspiracy author in the X-Files movie, but turned the part down to be in Phantasm 4. The part went to Martin Landau instead.)------------------

I've never heard of Phantasm. The floating ball is based on something in a dream I had. It looked pretty much like it does in the comic.
(Most stuff in AM is based on nightmares I've had throughout my life. I've pretty much dreamed the entire thing, which is really scary if you think about it.)

Ahhhh....Phantasm.Rent all four movies and watch them all straight through. I guarantee, even though there is a high cheese factor(esp in 2+3) it is well worth it. You'll get that cool spooked out feeling, and you'll never forget the name Reggie Banister, the man is awesome!!KOWTLT,
