Agreed...and as far as Today's goes, it's always freaky when you have Mr. Bear talk. Kinda' that feeling you get when you're walkin' down the stuffed animal eisle at Toys'R' Us, thinkin' there gonna' attack you at any minute.
------------------

Thanks, guys. I couldnt even get to my board yesterday...grrrr....Keen was not working right.
As for Mr. Bear talking, I only did it once, as tribute to Calvin and Hobbes, and purposely avoided the temptation to do it again for the longest time, because I didn't want to rip off my idol, Bill Watterson. However, even before reading Calvin and Hobbes, I wanted to do a comic about this stuffed animal I had (and still have) as a kid. I have gone on record many times saying that C&H inspired me a lot. I purposely avoided having Mr.Bear talking for almost a year, and have missed out on a lot of good punch lines that coulda been his. It adds a new dynamic to the comic, that I hope isn't bordering too much on Watterson's territory. If I didn't do it, and someone else came along and did it, and it was well received, I would be cursing myself for not taking the risk. At some point, someone has to use some form of the formula again, and hopefully in some way make it their own. What do you guys think? Did you not like Mr. Bear talking, Caleb?
~dave
------------------
